The goal of Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is to lead in applied and theoretical research both in Israel and Abroad, to provide top education for students, and to serve the community in the various IEM domains. The environment surrounding the civilization is rich in structures and objects designed and constructed by structural and civil engineers. M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering is highly research-oriented and is conducted in the unit's facilities and laboratories under the supervision of UNE faculty members. The aim of the M.Sc. program in Materials Engineering is to provide students with expertise and advanced knowledge in their selected field of specialization. M.Sc. students carry out advanced research supervised by an expert faculty member. Students graduating with an M.Sc. degree are qualified for senior R&D positions in industry and can continue towards Ph.D. studies. In particular, M.Sc. studies can be extended to Ph.D. studies in a combined track such that the thesis exam serves also as the Ph.D. candidacy exam.
