Our MSc Managing Innovation and Information Technology not only explores information systems but will help you to develop essential leadership, problem-solving and strategic skills. You’ll study on our green campus minutes from Manchester city centre, home to a £5 billion business and digital sector. Throughout the course, there will be opportunities to engage with our industry partners and for your final module, you can choose to complete a 12-month paid placement.

Our Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) accredited MSc Cyber Security, Threat and Forensics will equip you with a deep cyber security knowledge base and real-world skills for a career in fighting cybercrime. You’ll study in our £65 million science, engineering and environment building with specialist computing labs minutes from Manchester city centre, home to one of the fastest-growing tech communities in Europe. There’ll also be opportunities to engage with our industry partners through networking events and live projects.

The Computer Security pathway is centred around a core Security theme that introduces students to fundamental security topics that arise in the design, analysis, and implementation of networked and distributed systems. Subsidiary themes allow students to investigate broader areas in which they may apply their newly acquired skills. The pathway is designed for students who wish to specialize in the security aspect of the Information Technology field.

Our new MSc Cyber Security Management with Professional Practice course is a 2-year full-time business master’s programme. Sharing the first year of study with the 1-year MSc Cyber Security Management, the 2-year programme benefits from a second year of Professional Practice that is specifically aimed at fostering employment opportunities for students.

This postgraduate degree in Cyber Security Management is designed to equip business professionals with a deep understanding of the core aspects of cybersecurity in our current, rapidly evolving, technological landscape. In particular, this program will provide the skills and understanding for career development in cyber security data science management, or any managerial role where the assessment of risk and analysis of data plays a significant role.
