Memorial University was the first in Atlantic Canada to offer a M.Sc. in management for graduate-level students. Featuring small class sizes, our M.Sc. in management is a research-focused program that allows students to develop rigorous research skills and a versatile skillset that offers a number of options upon graduation.

A comprehensive program unique to Canada, students enrol in their Specialty Field (Applied, Sciences, Biological Sciences or Global Health Systems in Africa*) while taking Core Courses in management and communications.

This course gives attention to the knowledge and skills needed to grow and sustain performance in an organization, whether a full company, a department, a division, or other strategic business unit within an existing organization by getting the right things done through teams of people. It addresses the common management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.

The production of micro and nano-electronic circuits and devices is a rapidly developing area with a high gradient of innovation. Dresden's modern industry is known worldwide as Silicon Saxony . There is a high density of globally acting companies which are now looking for well educated employees with an advanced technical knowledge and profound management competencies.

This 12-month master's program, a joint effort with the university's Tepper School of Business, provides both the technical skills and business acumen students need to be successful in this high-demand area. A required internship and capstone project supply the practical skills students need to return to industry prepared for their new careers.
