The International MSc in Rural Development (IMRD) offers the opportunity to study European visions on rural development and rural economics in their diversity of approaches and applications and to make comparative analyses of EU and non-EU agricultural and rural development strategies and agricultural policies.The objective is to train students from European and non-European countries, from developed, developing and transition countries to become specialists in Integrated Rural Development with focus on socio-economic and institutional aspects.

This programme prepares you to address evolving urban challenges and lead innovations in sustainable urban mobility. It empowers students to become future urban leaders by embracing complexity and competence beyond the traditional urban planning and civil engineering disciplines.

This Advanced Master’s programme offers methodological and practical insights into development evaluation, its relevance and challenges.

The Master of Biology: Global Change Biology focuses on the underlying drivers and the far-reaching consequences of global change. You will learn about the multifaceted nature of global change, encompassing changes in climate, land use and biogeochemical cycles; how human activities influence ecosystems and biodiversity, and how such changes impact all levels of biological organisation, from molecules to ecosystems.

Become an expert in managing and protecting the land. Know how to manipulate the properties of the soil. The program encompasses a variety of different aspects, such as the physics of the soil, meteorology, and natural hazards.

The International Master of Science in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resource Management (SINReM) educates students to develop sustainable solutions across the entire raw materials value chain. From resource exploration to sustainable extraction processes and the development of more sustainable materials and recycling, students are taught to find new solutions that work towards the achievement of a circular economy. At present, it is uncertain whether the International Master of Science in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resource Management (SINReM) will be organised in the academic year 2026-2027. The International Master in Soils and Global Change (IMSOGLO) educates this next generation of soil scientists who have the knowledge and skills to characterize soils, and understand soil evolution in an ecosystem context under global change based on a deep insight into the underlying processes and interactions, and develop strategies to implement climate-smart soil management policies.

The programme trains students from both developed and developing countries with technical and managerial knowledge and skills to: (i) successfully plan, design, operate and manage water resources projects; and (ii) advise and support authorities in policy-making to enhance the safe and equitable use of water resources. A strong focus is put on the use of state-of-the-art numerical simulation tools for integrated water management.

The Master of Nuclear Engineering is a one-year programme organised by 6 Belgian universities in collaboration with SCK CEN. It is a modular programme that facilitates individual participation in selected courses or foreign students' participation in blocs of courses.
