Sustainable management of our environmental resources is at the heart of some of the key challenges facing humanity today; food security, climate change, biodiversity loss, and the protection of water and soil resources. MSEM includes the option for a concentration in Ecology, Water Management, Environmental Health & Hazards, or Energy and Climate, as well as the option for a GIS certificate.

The Environmental Economics and Management master's program focuses on economic issues in the areas of environmental and natural resources, marketing, and finance. These include public economics and government intervention to control environmental effects; planning of efficient extraction and use of natural resources; allocation of water and land resources; regulation of agricultural product marketing in local and export markets; industrial organization; economics of the family; mechanism design; game theory; political economy, and more. Students participate in research as part of their master's thesis.

This programme is aimed at talented graduates seeking to enhance their expertise and develop skills relevant to the fields of environmental policy, management, protection and advocacy.

The MSc in Environmental Management (Energy) examines current ideas in energy production, conservation, economic value and the essential "energy trilemma". Once you graduate, you will qualify for graduate IEMA professional status. You may also fast-track to PIEMA (practitioner status) with the completion of a work-based competence assessment. This can be a launch pad for future leadership roles.
