MSc in High-Performance Computing and Machine Learning is a unique course in Cyprus (former Simulation and Data Science MSc) that combines computational modelling, large-scale simulations, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and their applications across disciplines.

Biotechnology is undoubtedly important for its implications in various sectors of everyday life, utilizing cellular and bio-molecular processes that pave the way for the generation of cutting-edge new technologies and products that help improve life and nature in general. In particular, Biotechnology is the technology that uses living microorganisms to develop or create different products. Examples include the use of yeast in cheese and bread making, and the use of viral vectors for the creation of human vaccines (ie SARS-CoV-2 vaccine). Overall, recent advances in Biotechnology had a positive impact on the production of healthy food, improvement of the medical sector, reducing the world’s environmental footprint, and reducing the rate of infectious diseases. As a result, Biotechnology is widely considered to be the engine of the global economy in the 21st century.

This is a unique program in Cyprus and the region, which aims to provide new scientific knowledge that will enrich and enhance the research and academic careers of its participant students. Furthermore, the postgraduate program will equip students with a wide range of transferable practical skills that will give them a significant advantage in the current and future competitive labor market. The program’s goal is to prepare students for careers as scientists and experts in Cultural Heritage with a strong background in digital tools and scientific methods. Graduates of the program will be competitive to pursue work in the private or public sectors of Archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management, History, Art Architecture, Museum Studies, or the Study, Rehabilitation, and Management of the Historical Structured Environment.

The MA in English Studies offered by the Department of English Studies at the University of Cyprus is a conventional 2-year MA program that carries 120 ECTS in total. In each of the first three semesters of study, students are required to register for three courses of 10 ECTS each.
