Starting from Spring Semester, the Faculty of the Architecture Cracow University of Technology offers three semesters (2-years) Master’s Degree Studies in English (M.Arch.). The offer of these studies is meant for students with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and prepares them for professional practice as architects.

This programme in MSc in Architecture trains students to apply their complex knowledge in the areas of architecture and urban planning, as well as in the multi-faceted field of environment formation in general (architectural design, town and country planning, preservation of built heritage, structural design, construction work, management and administration tasks, consulting with authorities, teaching, etc.)

The study programme takes into account in a balanced way the practical and theoretical aspects of the architectural profession with an emphasis on the problem of creativity and design independence of graduates. The leading courses in the students' education are design, which is complemented by field studies related to modern construction systems, as well as theoretical (theory of architecture and urban planning, heritage protection, elements of philosophy, aesthetics) and computer-based (various types of modelling: BiM, 3D) ones. Students have the opportunity to work with active architects, with specialists in various fields, and they can also participate in scientific programmes, international exchanges, workshops and study trips. After completion of the Master’s programme in Architecture and Urban Planning students are awarded the Master’s Degree in Architecture. Graduates are equipped with knowledge and skills that enable them to enrol themselves on doctoral and specialised postgraduate programmes.

Architecture for Society of Knowledge is a professional program focused on digital design and crucial aspects of architecture and urban planning. The duration of the program is 4 semesters.

Architecture designs and directs the complex transformations that affect cities and territories. It is the place where multiple knowledge and skills that operate in the built environment meet. The Master's Degree course in architecture Construction City is aimed at a complete understating of the complex cultural, environmental, technical, and procedural issues that underlie contemporary projects. 

The MSc is offered by Centre for Architecture and Sustainable Environment, a new research centre in the Kent School of Architecture and Planning (KSAP) that promotes a cross-disciplinary approach to research in the field of sustainability in the built environment, bridging the traditional boundaries between the arts and the sciences, research and practice. The course content ranges from the development of the design skills and the technical and scientific understanding required to develop sustainable solutions for new and existing buildings, the analysis of historic buildings and past environment technologies, to a critical exploration of the historical and cultural context of sustainability and environmental design.

Architecture is intended as a design for heritage to improve the quality of the built landscape and people's lives. By choosing the Master's degree course in architecture for heritage you will develop competencies in conservation, recovery, transformation, compatible reuse, and enhancement of the built heritage and landscape. The Master in History and Theory of Art and Architecture (MSTAA) includes both the study of the history of architecture and art history.
