The Master of Science in Synthetic Landscapes is a one-year, three-semester program focused on advancing knowledge and developing expertise in the design of complex landscapes for the twenty-first century.

The program focuses on energy and the built environment with research + design projects ranging across many scales, from urban design to high-performance buildings, from VR and computational simulation to building material research and product design, and across a range of disciplinary and practice areas.

The Master of Science in Architectural Technologies is a one-year program that provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies of architectural production as well as a robust conceptual and critical framework.

The Master of Architectural Studies (5+1) degree is designed for students with a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (First-Professional) degree who want to advance their knowledge of architecture through focused study and design-studio work. This one-year program builds on foundational knowledge in art and design and integrates thesis-based learning and coursework to explore architecture in the context of history and theory, tectonics, urban studies, and professional practice.

Chatham's Master of Science in Interior Architecture (MSIA) is designed to expand upon the education and experience of professionals with an undergraduate degree in interior design, interior architecture, or architecture. Students may take classes entirely online, entirely on-campus, or a hybrid of the two.

The MS program in architecture with a concentration in energy performance and climate-responsive architecture educates students to become energy-efficient building design and energy technology experts.

The Master of Science in Architecture is an advanced, multidisciplinary, 32-credit hour thesis degree program designed to provide highly qualified students with a traditional academic foundation in theoretical concepts and research methods in Architecture. Interior architecture emphasizes how the interior environment encompasses all parts of the interior volume and acknowledges the intersection between architecture and interiors. This program’s flexible curriculum can be tailored to fit anyone, whether you hold a non-design undergraduate degree, or are looking to build on previous academic or work experience to give yourself a professional edge. By providing a balance between theory and application, this program immerses you in current technologies and sustainable practices, preparing you to join the profession immediately upon graduation, in a two to three-year sequence (49-69 credits).

NewSchool’s Master of Science in Architecture is tailored for visionaries who seek to influence the built environment without the path of licensure. This research focused program dives into complex urban issues through a culminating thesis or graduation project. In the Sustainable Design track, students explore how urban planning affects community health, gaining the tools to craft environments that foster well-being. Meanwhile, the Urban Design track immerses students in digital architecture and fabrication, challenging them to reimagine the interplay between physical and virtual spaces.

The Master of Science in Architecture, is a 1-year, 36 credits (3 semester), program that offers students an opportunity to investigate design strategies / challenges in relation to current issues that include: resilient design, tropical and subtropical architecture, health care design, housing design, conservation of the built environment and the effect of embedded technologies on design.
