The M.Sc. Program is a 2-year graduate degree that aims to give students a broader and deeper knowledge of contemporary mathematics and to expose them to mathematical research.

The Master's Degree in Mathematics is a generalist master's degree that has a double objective. One, to allow the transition towards obtaining a Doctorate in Mathematics, through a solid methodological training and advanced scientific knowledge in the different areas of Mathematics. And second, it also opens a path of specialization in Mathematics with interdisciplinary training, which provides the graduate with professional skills, aptitudes and competences more adapted to the professional and research profile that today's society is demanding.

The General Studies: Natural Sciences & Mathematics program allows a student to develop their own course of study from the different disciplines within the Division of Natural Sciences & Mathematics. Students work with their advisors to tailor the classes in their degrees to match their personal and professional goals. This degree option serves students that need a custom program in preparation for further graduate studies or pre-professional coursework.

The Associate of Arts Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Natural Sciences and Mathematics requires completion of 64 credits which must include the General Education Core plus 18 ± 24 credits in Science and/or Mathematics courses taken from subjects in the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This degree provides a solid liberal arts foundation accompanied by strong preparation in Science and Math. Completion of this degree prepares students to continue in multiple science baccalaureate programs as well as programs in health sciences.

The Bachelor’s Programme in Science and Engineering is a cross-disciplinary degree program that provides you with a solid grounding in several core fields of engineering and the ability to follow rapid technological developments and apply scientific methods. The major subjects available in the Natural Sciences and Mathematics track are Mathematics; Physics; Chemistry; Biomedical Engineering.

The academic contents of the program are geared towards modern issues in mathematics and statistics, and towards the appliance of mathematics and statistics in technology and other natural sciences. The candidates will gain relevant skills within programming, data processing, analytical problem solving and quantitative analysis.

All doctoral programs in mathematics are consolidated within the Hadamard Doctoral School of Mathematics (EDMH), co-accredited with Paris-Saclay University and PSL University. This training ranges from pure mathematics to the most applied mathematics, including subjects at the interface with mathematics: particularly with economics, IT, mechanical engineering, physics, engineering, and life sciences.

The Master’s degree program in Mathematics provides students with advanced knowledge and understanding of the main theoretical and applied concepts through four taught modules: Advanced Mathematics, Teaching and Scientific Communication, Mathematics for Life Sciences, Coding Theory, and Cryptography.

Master in Mathematics has the advantages of the intersection of mathematical sciences and information disciplines, and cultivates high-quality applied talents for all kinds of information data technology and computing technology, as well as innovative talents with a solid foundation in mathematics.

In the Mathematics and Statistics track it is possible to graduate with mathematics or statistics as the major subject with a broad range of special courses from these fields. Within mathematics, you can even further specialize your studies in mathematics or applied mathematics.

Mathematics is the language of the sciences and as such, these courses are needed as prerequisites to science courses and for student success in general. In the modern world, there are many fields that need specialists in mathematics. Careers in mathematics include scientists, researchers, programmers, and other specialists in information systems, mathematics teachers, actuaries, and insurance specialists, and people who can combine mathematical knowledge with a scientific, technological, or business background. The Associate in Science degree in Mathematics will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the Major course requirements and the General Education requirements.

The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Concentration cultivates graduates who will contribute to enhancing the province’s standing in mathematical sciences. These serve as a basis for studies in Mathematics and for careers in diverse fields like education, IT, business, law, medicine, and management.

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Major cultivate graduates who will enhance the province’s standing in mathematical sciences. These programs serve as a basis for further studies in Mathematics and for careers in diverse fields such as education, IT, business, law, medicine, and management.

This Certificate of Higher Education in Mathematical Sciences provides the basic skills you need for further study in mathematics and statistics and is ideal if you need some mathematics to underpin your studies in other areas. You’ll be introduced to pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics; using mathematical software; working with abstract ideas; and modelling real-world problems using mathematics.

The master’s degree program in mathematics has two specializations: one in mathematics education and the other in pure mathematics. Mathematics education covers issues related to the teaching of mathematics and prepares students to become mathematics teachers; pure mathematics delves deeper into advanced concepts and methods.

The Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Natural Science and Mathematics provides students the opportunity to develop knowledge of scientific theories, concepts, and data about living and nonliving systems. Students will achieve an understanding and appreciation of scientific principles and the scientific method, as well as the potential limits of scientific endeavors and the value systems and ethics associated with human inquiry. In addition, students shall develop skills and understanding beyond the level of intermediate algebra. Students will not just practice computational skills but will be able to explain and apply basic mathematical concepts and will be able to solve problems through quantitative reasoning.

The Mathematics Department offers a range of courses for a variety of needs and plans of study. We support the professional and technical programs as well as the transfer programs. We offer several PreCollege courses that satisfy requirements for students obtaining certificates and students preparing for college-level mathematics courses. Our college-level courses prepare students for the sciences and engineering curriculum, satisfy prerequisites for admission to colleges of business and education, and create the foundation of undergraduate mathematics curriculum for math majors.
