7 Materials Science Degree Programs

The MS Materials Science degree is appropriate for students who have earned bachelor’s degrees in either chemistry, physics, materials science, or related fields. Other STEM degree recipients may be accepted with the completion of appropriate additional coursework. This profile is for the Entrepreneurial track.

The Ph.D. School in Science and Technology of Materials (STM) aims to provide to MS graduates in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering the skills needed to carry out highly qualified scientific and professional research in the field of Materials Science at Universities and public or private agencies

A graduate of the bachelor’s degree study program Production Processes and Materials in the Mechanical Engineering field of study can orient himself in technical documentation and standards, he/she is able to search, summarize and evaluate the necessary information. He/she can solve research and development tasks in engineering production, cooperates in the development and application of new processes.

Objective of the program is to prepare a professional figure expert in materials and in the design of processes and manufactured goods. Different specialisations are available: Surface Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology, Engineering Applications, Micromechanical Engineering

We focus on hands-on learning, with classes taught by faculty with industry experience. After completing our program, you will be a highly competitive graduate prepared for entry-level positions in various industries.

The aim of this program is to provide students with advanced experimental and theoretical knowledge and skills covering the full spectrum of condensed matter physics and material research and prepare them for the active and creative use of acquired knowledge in the modern directions of basic research and relevant applications.

Graduates from the follow-up master's degree program may be admitted to study on a doctoral degree program in materials, technology, quality, or metrology. This study is the third, highest level of university study, is in full-time or combined form and the standard study period is 4 years. Graduates from doctoral study programs are awarded the academic title of Doctor, abbreviated to Ph.D. after their name.
