The Graduate School of Korea Culture and Industry is a special-purpose graduate school dedicated to fostering professional human resources in convergence content and cultural content areas that are required for a culturally knowledge-based society of the 21st century. Our graduate school offers master's degree and doctoral degree programs in convergence content. The master's degree program provides three majors to choose from, including Storytelling, Cultural Space, and Culture and Arts Management while the doctoral degree program specializes in a single major of Convergence Content. To foster diversified culture and industry professionals, our master's program is divided into two streams: Dissertation Degree Course and Practical Project Degree Course. Our degree programs feature a variety of education courses, including interdisciplinary convergence education, creative seminars, 1:1 tailor-made tutorials, cultural field trips at home and abroad, and industry-academy practices with aims to foster convergence professionals equipped with the ability to analyze, plan, and operate the trends of the cultural industry.

The Department of Social Welfare is a department that cultivates leading global social welfare practitioners and social welfare administrators with professional knowledge and holistic personality on social welfare through professional knowledge professors and creative research in the field of social welfare. In addition, in order to fulfill the role of the best social welfare leader, it is educated to acquire systematic theories and practices related to social welfare through various teaching and learning methods such as academic seminars, invited lectures, and academic activities.

The goal of this Graduate School of Social Welfare is to bring up specialists in social welfare who will contribute themselves to building a welfare state and community where everyone will enjoy his life. So we are raising the leaders of the 21st century's state of welfare by providing effective education which treats practical knowledge and skills of social welfare, theory and practice regarding social welfare policy and administration, and various fields of social welfare for seniors, the handicapped, the juvenile, and the teenaged, etc. And we also put our special emphasis on how our Christian circle around the Korean Church can contribute to building a state of welfare on the basis of Biblical Justice.

Study of social welfare cultivates abilities to work in welfare centers, daycare centers, homes for the poor, as well as nurtures professional talents in social welfare who can serve as public social workers contributing to the well-being of the nation and the society. Especially, our department is equipped with a practical and theoretical curriculum that educates students to become qualified welfare caseworkers, daycare workers, and lifelong education teachers. Such an educational program that is closely based on the field allows for creative and practical education.

The Department of Convergence Cultural Heritage cultivates experts who are equipped with social and scientific theories for policy, institution, evaluation, analysis, and value creation necessary to preserve, manage and utilize cultural properties and liberal arts theories for survey and research on cultural properties. The department also contributes to the expansion of the new cultural and traditional horizon by researching production principles of traditional crafts and technological culture of masters with an aim to establish the knowledge system based on modern values of intangible heritage and cultivating talents with practical workability.

As society rapidly changes while entering the 21st Century, the life of many individuals and families are weakening, and this is leading to social chaos. Hence, Korea Baptist Theological University/Seminary has established the Graduate School of Counseling (Dept. of Counseling Psychology) to contribute to building a bright and healthy church and future society by restoring individuals and families breaking down. If students complete the Counseling Psychology course, they receive the “Master of Culture (counseling and clinical psychology)” degree. And they can acquire a counseling specialist license acknowledged by our graduate school and a specialist license from various organizations including the Korean Association of Christian Counseling & Psychotherapy. Through this, graduates can work as counseling specialists and ministers in churches, counseling centers, hospitals, and schools. The Department of Counseling Psychology at the Graduate School of Counseling, which is a special graduate school with evening classes, can train competent counseling specialists needed in this day and age by providing education centered around systematic, specialized, and practical research.

Many children have developmental and psychological challenges these days, and as such, professional diagnosis and art therapy intervention for these issues are urgently needed. To actively cope with these social problems, the Department aims to train and foster art counseling specialists who can provide diagnostic evaluation and art therapy services in clinical and special education therapy fields.

The Department of Counseling Psychology is established to understand theories and practices about education with counseling and to cultivate teachers and counseling experts who can prevent problem behaviors of students and understand various techniques for advice, psychological therapy, behavior change, behavior modification, decision making, problem-solving, and information provision. In particular, the Department cultivates school counselors who understand school problems by child and adolescent problems, developmental phenomena, changes in discipline techniques, and social changes, The students will not only have virtues as whole-person citizens of the world but also become school counselors(Level 1) who can give advice about problem-solving and future for students in schools. The Department of Child Care Counseling at Jungwon University aims to train students to be professionals in education and counseling, who can deliver expertise and reality for the sake of the happy life of children, youth, and their families. Accordingly, it is committed to training students to be practical intellectuals with creative and professional skills through combined education of knowledge with reality in early childhood education, child care, and consultation. Also, it trains students to be specialists with application skills through a combined training curriculum of theories with practice in education and counseling.

It operates a goal-oriented education program using state-of-the-art facilities to foster 21st century digital image experts and critics. The goal-oriented education program refers to industry practice-oriented education so that graduate students can become practical talents who can meet the demands of the industrial society and have the qualities as experts required by the modern film age.

The Department of Religious Culture Studies at Jungwon University offers the only courses that are differentiated from similar Departments at other schools in that it creates a story by blending cultural properties with religion, and cultivates the creative cultural industry planning human resources. The 21st century is the so-called era of culture based on the rapid development of digital technology. Cultural industries are recognized as future high value-added industries, and the Korean cultural contents market is in its beginning stages. We are living in a modern society marking the age of globalization and convergence, which more favors a talented individual who can make a new story, plan cultural contents, and do creative work on the basis of emotion and creativity.
