The Master in Social Work: specialization Social Work in the Context of Global Crises aims to train highly qualified social workers with the knowledge, skills, and methods needed to effectively apply social work interventions based on social justice and human rights for peoples‘ empowerment, structural changes, social inclusion, and social cohesion. The specialization "Social Work in the Context of Global Crises" provides an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of social work interventions by combining the immediate and long-term emotional, relational, social, and practical needs of individuals, families, communities, and society, the provision of social services, the trauma’s overcoming, community (re)building and advocacy in the context of intercultural conflicts and global crises. The specialization is delivered in English. The degree is a Master of Social Sciences. Solve social problems arising from social inequality and discrimination against people. Understand and put into practice the principles of human rights and social justice. This study programme is designed to train high-quality social work specialists. During their studies, students will delve into the theoretical and practical aspects of social work focusing on individuals with disabilities and older people, in the context of ensuring their well-being and their quality of life. Students are introduced to modern social theories, the psychology of disability and sociology, social justice, well-being policies and other essential subjects in this sphere. This is a joint study programme with Open University, Ukraine.

This Programme offers an intensive introduction to contemporary anthropology. As societies around the world vary enormously in their social, cultural, and political forms, the Master of Social Anthropology Programme is designed to study these variations and the common humanity contained therein. Such topics as transnational mobility, debated cultural practices of inclusion and exclusion as well as the transformation of the state are specially articulated in the Programme. It also provides the students with a thorough theoretical and methodological grounding, essential for attaining non-judgmental understanding and appreciation of the diversity of other cultures, the significance of cross-cultural perspectives, and intercultural understanding.

The goal of the graduate study programme Diplomacy and International Relations is to prepare highly qualified specialists and analysts who will possess the skills to analyze and evaluate the evolution of international relations, including the major changes and events in this field and the reasons for these changes. Graduates of this programme will be able to identify and reconcile ever-changing norms, roles, and the types of practical diplomacy used in international relations. The programme of Diplomacy and International Relations will develop students’ skills to gather, update, and apply the newest scientific knowledge. Upon completion of the programme, a Master’s degree in Social Sciences is granted.

The Master in Languages and Cultures of the Nordic and Baltic Sea Region is an umbrella programme that allows students to deepen their knowledge of the culture and language studied (Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Latvian, Polish or German) as well as consistently broaden their specialisation to include a cross-cultural perspective. Several thematic courses are offered that target the socio-cultural developments of the community studied in the broader context of Eastern, Central and Northern Europe.

It addresses dance, movement and related practices as Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) from the perspectives of Ethnochoreology, the Anthropology of Dance, Sport and Movement, Heritage Studies, and Technology for Dance and Sport. It focuses on fieldwork and engages with movement analysis, motion capture, ethnographic and documentation techniques. 

Master’s study programme of Public Management is aimed to prepare highly qualified specialists with expert knowledge and skills, public administration values and moral norms in the field of public administration, what would enable to act professionally and creatively in solving state and local government issues, to adapt and create public administration tools, to implement innovations in their professional fields, to improve learning skills necessary for further independent studies.
