Master in Rehabilitation Nursing is nowadays extremely important and technically and scientifically demanding, and differentiation and specialisation are a reality. Nurses are called to intervene in specialized care in Rehabilitation Nursing, contributing to the populations' health and improving their quality of life.

To promote the development of knowledge and advanced intervention methodologies in the specialized area of Family Health Nursing (FHN);

Objectives: To qualify for the achievement of health gains from nursing care for people experiencing complex critical illness and / or organ failure, response in situations of catastrophe and multivitamin emergency, and control of infection, taking into account the ethical and deontological dimension of the profession; Empowering for leadership, resource management and care, for the optimization of nursing and health team responses, aiming at improving the quality of care for the person and family experiencing complex processes of critical situation and or organic failure, and adequate response to disasters and emergencies; Encourage the production, appropriation and dissemination of scientific knowledge, assuring the ethical and social responsibility of nursing.

Objectives: Apply the fundamentals of the systemic paradigm and human communication in family assessment and intervention; To argue the development of family health nursing based on ethical-legal, socio-political and epistemological references, of the profession and of Community Nursing in the area of Family Health Nursing;

Objectives: To contribute to the construction of a professional capable of promoting strong and motivating leaders, adjusted to the challenges facing specialized nursing care and organizations, through a research process and the development of critical thinking; To develop specific skills of nurse specialist in community nursing and public health, namely: health planning methodology; empowerment of groups and communities; coordination of community-based health programs and epidemiological surveillance.

The Masters Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing aims to ensure the acquisition and / or development of scientific, technical, relational, ethical and research to intervene in the provision of specialized nursing care in the clinical area of ​​medical-surgical nursing. The course also aims to enable students to integrate multidisciplinary teams on helping to promote the highest level of health of the population and enable the development of research in medical-surgical nursing, contributing to the creation of scientific evidence. Still want the school, in addition to promoting the development of good practice in the workplace, preparing nurses who can act in society, who are capable of intervening and coping with the social and professional changes in the future and contribute to the advancement the profession in order to meet the needs of the individual, family and community.

The Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Nursing takes into account the new sociodemographic and health problems resulting from population aging, the high incidence and prevalence of acute and chronic diseases, and its sequelae related to unhealthy lifestyles / behaviors, and work.

Mental health and related problems are one of the most sensitive areas of people's health. In fact, mental health problems constitute 13% of the global burden of diseases (WHO, 2001) and that 5 out of 10 of the causes that lead to disability are mental health problems (WHO, 2003).

The Master in Community Nursing aims to: - Ensure the acquisition of scientific, technical, human and cultural skills, so that professionals are able to provide expert assistance to the individual, family, and community groups; - Enable the nurse to integrate multidisciplinary teams promoting highly specialized care within the Community Nursing; - To train for the development of research in the field of Community Nursing, contributing to the creation of scientific evidence. Still want the school, in addition to promoting the development of good practice in the workplace, preparing nurses who can act in society, to be able to plan and act according to social and professional changes in the future and contribute to the advancement the profession.
