Students who study music performance learn about a variety of instruments and performance techniques. Courses may include ear training, musical organization, musicology, music theory, vocal performance, string performance, piano performance, jazz studies, accompaniment skills and rhythm playing.

A masters is earned after students complete an undergraduate degree program. To obtain a masters, you usually need to complete 12 to 18 college courses that often involve completing comprehensive tests and/or a thesis.
