The Master's Degree in Physics is especially aimed at Graduates in Physics and Graduates of the double Degree in Physics and Mathematics. It is also aimed at graduates from other related areas, such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering or Biotechnology. This master degree is oriented towards research and a potential doctorate. The GREEN Graduate Program - Mathematics, Modeling and Applications to Energy and Environment (M2A2E) research graduate program aims to form experts with up-to-date knowledge of advanced skills in Applied Mathematics, Statistical and Machine Learning Methods, and Scientific Computing to elaborate, analyze, and simulate mathematical models arising from issues and predicted impacts in energy and environment.

In Algebra with Cryptography and Coding, you study general courses in mathematics and modeling besides courses in algebra, number theory, cryptography, and coding theory.

The Computational Mathematics program is devoted to the development, analysis, algorithmization, and implementation of methods for the computer processing of mathematical models. It represents a transition from theoretical mathematics to practically useful results. An emphasis is placed on the creative use of information technology and the production of programming applications. An integral part of the program is the verification of employed methods. The study is a natural continuation of the bachelor's program General Mathematics, branch Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modelling at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. The program Computational Mathematics is designed in such a way that it enables to admit also students who finished a bachelor's study of Mathematics of another branch or at another university, requiring that they complete the missing knowledge. The students will first obtain knowledge of the modern theory of partial differential equations, linear and nonlinear functional analysis, finite element method, basics of numerical software, and methods for matrix calculations. Later the students will choose elective courses, in particular, according to the topic of their master’s thesis.

The Master in Industrial Mathematics (M2I)* is a fusion of two official degrees, the Master in Mathematical Engineering, taught by the Universities of Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña and Vigo, and the Master in Industrial Mathematics, taught by the Carlos III University of Madrid.
