The Master in Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics (MIR), innovatively combines robotics and artificial intelligence in the context of advancing marine and maritime science and its technological applications. The MIR program comprises 2 years (4 semesters and 120 ECTS credits). The first year (first and second semester) offers a solid background in marine science, robotics and artificial intelligence at the University of Toulon (UTLN), France. In the third semester, already in the second year, students choose one of the three specialization itineraries: Robotics Applied to Submarine Intervention Missions, at the UJI, Autonomy in Submarine Operations, at NTNU, Norway, or Cooperative Marine Robotics for Scientific and Commercial Applications, at l'IST-UL, Portugal. The fourth semester is devoted to carrying out the final master's project within the framework of research or business practices, and can be carried out in any of the MIR's main partner or associate institutions, always under the co-supervision of a partner major.
