12 Master's Degree Programs in Israel

The Master's Degree program in Dance, with a specialization in choreography/composition or performance, is designed to equip creators and performers with the tools that will enable them to find their own creative and interpretive language and an educated and sophisticated artistic perspective.

The Hebrew University-Hadassah Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine is proud of its overseas students who since 1970 have made the International Master of Public Health (IMPH) Program a most rewarding and successful venture. The "Voices" program is intended for students with a bachelor's degree - Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) from academic institutions in Israel or abroad.

The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance is excited to introduce a specialized Masters' Degree track focusing on performance of 20th and 21st century solo, chamber and ensemble works. The students will work with members of the celebrated Meitar Ensemble on contemporary repertoire, exploring notation, performance techniques, aesthetic concepts and interpretation.

The Master's Degree track in Jazz Performance is for students with a B.Mus. Degree who have attained a high performance level in playing and/or singing jazz, and who seek to bolster their academic knowledge as well as their ability to lead jazz ensembles, with an emphasis on original creativity.

The Contemporary Improvisation Track offers the students a unique opportunity to explore internal boundaries as well as external ones, without being tied to any specific style or genre, encouraging them to constantly seek new modes of expression. The versatile student body at the JAMD, in terms of both field of specialization and cultural background, and the unique environment of the school offer students endless opportunities of collaboration.

The Composition for Media specialization track is intended for students pursuing a master’s degree in composition seeking to specialize in composing music for cinema, television and the visual media. Over four semesters students will gain experience in composition for a picture, orchestration, use of currently leading DAW software (Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live), recording and mix.

The Music Education Major in the Master of Music degree program, (M.Mus.), is designed for music educators who wish to specialize, research and develop in their own field and to take their place as leaders in the spheres of culture and education.

Along with the formulation of the personal artistic statement (as a direct continuation of undergraduate studies at the academy), this master's track is also designed to develop artistic initiative, with the aim of influencing the formation of cultural-educational-artistic leadership. This track can also be used as a step towards doctoral studies.
