The Materials Science Engineering Master's Degree aims to cultivate engineering talents who can effectively grasp the physical and chemical theories related to material preparation and processing, properties control, characterization, and analysis. Students will develop a deep understanding of the relationship between material composition, structure and performance. This program allows students to complete the Master of Engineering (ME) and the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) in two years of full-time study. The course follows an integrated approach to professional practice through professional engineering subjects, subjects relating to the major, an independent graduate project (in the area of the major), and a set of electives.

This course is designed to enable engineers and other technical specialists to take a leadership role in the field of environmental engineering and management. The course deals with the broad aspects of environmental management relevant to practising professionals in engineering science, planning, architecture, law, surveying, health and building. Engineers, scientists, town planners and other professionals working in this field have a compelling duty to ensure that the adverse effects of development on the total environment are minimised. The duration of the course is one-and-a-half years; however, applicants with a recognised bachelor's degree in engineering or the natural and physical sciences are eligible for recognition of prior learning of up to four subjects and are thus able to complete the course in one year on a full-time basis.

This course provides an opportunity at master's level for professional engineers to deepen the knowledge and skills gained in their undergraduate studies while expanding their managerial and professional engineering knowledge. The course follows an integrated approach to professional practice through disciplinary and professional engineering subjects, subjects relating to the chosen major, an independent project, and a set of electives.

The students will become talented managers specialized in experimental techniques, they will research in the application of innovation and achievements of theory with systematically utilize theory and methods of management, system science, and economic mathematics.
