The first Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in the UK, this course is designed for serious writers who would like to build upon their publishing record or become a published writer. It offers talented and aspiring writers the chance to refine their craft under the tutelage of acclaimed professionals.

Eastern Oregon University's MFA in Creative Writing provides hands-on writing and editing experience during summer residencies and online courses. In addition to helping you grow as an author or teacher, the program focuses on skills required for editing, copywriting, publishing and marketing roles. Hone your talents by working one-on-one with faculty who take each genre seriously. You can also choose a Young Adult Writing emphasis, learning to craft prose or poems that inspire young readers.

The MLitt in Creative Writing develops original work while providing critical and creative study in either poetry or prose. The MLitt offers practice-based, technically and creatively oriented tuition by leading contemporary authors with an emphasis on the development of individual style, and the goal of literary excellence.

These courses provide the opportunity for students to develop the core competencies and skills of the dramatist and scriptwriter, to explore their own ‘voice’ and develop their confidence as dramatists and scriptwriters, and to appreciate the specific media contexts within which professional writers work.
