Our 30-credit Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction is a fully online and asynchronous degree program that supports educators and practitioners across learning contexts (e.g. K-12, museums, after-school, etc.). We prepare you to develop high-impact learning experiences for student learners by developing activities that are engaging, equitable, and empowering, and which will build your students' skills in complex thinking, collaboration, and communication.

The Master of Education in English and Communications is a professional degree for those wishing to pursue advanced study in (at least) one field of educational effort, with a goal of attaining a superior level of expertise in that field. This MEd program prepares you with a minimum of 36 credits, including Basic Areas of Education (BAE) courses, a research seminar, required courses in a major field (specialization), and any additional departmental requirements. A comprehensive examination is also required. Students will work with an English Education faculty advisor to develop a Plan of Studies in the major field that combines work in English Education courses, related studies in education, and related electives from across the university.

Finance students also gain real-world experience and skills in the Katz Financial Analysis Laboratory. The 3,000 square-foot lab has the analytical tools and software commonly used in Wall Street trading rooms and corporate finance institutions. Katz is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Affiliate. This affiliation signals to students, employers, and the marketplace that the school’s curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well suited to prepare students to sit for the CFA examination. You can work toward becoming a CFA while also earning your MBA. There is an increasing need for finance professionals who have strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills. The outlook for finance jobs is positive and the variety of finance career trajectories is ever-growing.
