The Master's program in Urban Development was opened in 1976 and between that date and 1995, it trained 139 students in nine classes. After an important modification to the study plan, in the 1995-1997 class, the program changed its name to Masters in Urban Studies, from which up to 2019 216 students graduated in twelve promotions, while, in the thirteenth class, 2019-2021, there are 19 students. The Master's program is designed with a flexible structure and transdisciplinary orientation. Likewise, as a result of the collective effort of students, teaching staff, and administrative staff, since 2007 the program has been distinguished in the National Postgraduate Register of the National Quality Postgraduate Program (PNPC) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) in the International Competition category.
