The Religious Roots of Europe (RRE) is a two-year Master’s programme with a unique, comparative focus on the early, formative history of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, as well as their interactions in both past and present. RRE combines a thorough study of ancient sources with contemporary challenges in an inspirational community of internationally recognised scholars and students from various backgrounds. RRE can be studied either in Lund or from a distance, as long as compact seminars are attended, beginning with an excursion to ancient Rome. The programme can lead to doctoral studies, and gives much-needed expertise for government institutions and churches, as examples.

This two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) programme provides an excellent opportunity for those new to tourism to engage and attain a broad grasp of the subject as well as a deep and analytical insight into aspects of tourism development, culture and related industries. This is an exciting and innovative new programme offered by the University of Glasgow, Dumfries Campus (Scotland), the University of Malta (Malta), Lund University (Sweden) and the University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal). You will graduate with a joint degree awarded by the relevant partners. By studying with a combination of these partners, you will be taught by world-class experts in the areas of social science analysis of tourism, heritage, business innovation and sustainability.

This programme presents a multidisciplinary education in the environmental sciences of the high latitudes. Due to accelerated changes, there is a need for experts with multidisciplinary training. The programme is a joint Nordic master of Agricultural University of Iceland with Lund University and the University of Helsinki, and students will graduate from two universities. The master program includes one semester in Iceland and students will have access to courses and research projects at any of the four additional EnCHiL partners. The curriculum contains a mandatory mobility period of at least one semester.

In this double degree programme, you spend the first year at either Universidad Carlos III de Madrid or the University of Groningen. The programme trains the next generation of analysts, researchers and professionals in the field of development and growth. It combines the expertise of three highly ranked European universities into a common platform with leading scholars in economics, economic history and demography. The LASCALA master is a two-year international master’s programme, created by 4 leading European universities, that aims at training experts in the most advanced experimental and theoretical tools and concepts in accelerators physics, high power lasers, laser-plasma interaction at high intensity, as well as in their applications related to new sources of energy, health, and security diagnostics.

The Master of Arts Programme in European Studies is an interdisciplinary Master´s programme with a unique perspective on Europe. The programme specifically targets those who are interested in understanding Europe from a broader, humanist point of view and who want to apply this perspective in careers related to European cultural and identity politics and Europe-wide communication. Our focus lies on culture, identity and communication, addressed with both theoretical sophistication and career pragmatism. Thus, our programme offers a solid theoretical foundation for the study of European culture and identity and develops students’ practical skills through a project management course and the possibility of internships.

Our goal is to give students leading competences in biomedical research so that they are well prepared for independent work in medical research and development. The programme leads to a Master of Medical Science, with a major in Biomedicine. Teaching takes place in a research environment at the Biomedical Research Centre in Lund and all teachers are also active researchers.

Students in this programme will conduct individual industrial design projects, participate in workshops and contribute to the creation of knowledge within the field of design. By organising exhibitions, seminars and workshops, you will communicate your work and participate in the public debate. Students will become authorities in their chosen subject and the programme encourages the in-depth debate and deliberation of the discipline. As the first European Affairs programme in Sweden (established in 1994), we offer a unique combination of courses, covering topics such as European governance, EU negotiations, EU law, and Europe in global affairs. In addition to getting a theoretical understanding of these and related topics, we also enable you to bridge theory and practice by taking the opportunity to do a 10 or 20-week internship course at an organisation of your choice. In addition to being part of a dynamic and international student group, you will be taught by highly-trained teachers who are active researchers in their own fields of expertise.

The Master of Science Programme in Sociology of Law is an interdisciplinary programme aimed at introducing students to the study of law, legal institutions and legal behaviour in a social context. It offers an advanced overview of the sociology of law with the possibility of specialisation in socio-legal areas, criminal justice and social control, criminology, society and corruption, human rights, AI and digitalised governance. The objective of the programme is to increase the students’ knowledge of how the law and legal institutions work at the national and transnational levels and how they impact the everyday life of ordinary citizens.

Scandinavia’s oldest programme in European economic law at Scandinavia’s best-ranked law faculty provides an in-depth understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of European law. It offers an excellent foundation in the EU constitutional framework and in the workings of the most important rules governing how businesses operate in Europe. The programme is taught by expert teachers from Lund University, supported by leading academics from other top-ranked universities, and with input from senior practitioners in key EU institutions, national authorities and leading law firms. With the optional second year, students have extensive possibilities to tailor their studies to suit their interests and future career ambitions.

For 30 years, the Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law has been offered by the Faculty of Law. It is a cooperative venture by the Faculty of Law and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI). This makes your education unique: no other LL.M programme offers the joint resources of a prestigious law school and an implementation-oriented human rights institution. The Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law is one of the first LL.M programmes established specifically to provide for the academic mastery of an increasingly complex area: the international law of human rights and humanitarian law.
