The Master of Science in Engineering Technology (MSET) degree in Mechatronics and Robotics (MERO) will provide students with an interdisciplinary applied engineering education through coursework, project, and thesis work. Students will learn fundamental and applied concepts of real-world mechatronic and robotic systems including interface theory, sensing and actuation systems, hardware and software integration, modeling and control.

The Master in Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics (MIR), innovatively combines robotics and artificial intelligence in the context of advancing marine and maritime science and its technological applications. The MIR program comprises 2 years (4 semesters and 120 ECTS credits). The first year (first and second semester) offers a solid background in marine science, robotics and artificial intelligence at the University of Toulon (UTLN), France. In the third semester, already in the second year, students choose one of the three specialization itineraries: Robotics Applied to Submarine Intervention Missions, at the UJI, Autonomy in Submarine Operations, at NTNU, Norway, or Cooperative Marine Robotics for Scientific and Commercial Applications, at l'IST-UL, Portugal. The fourth semester is devoted to carrying out the final master's project within the framework of research or business practices, and can be carried out in any of the MIR's main partner or associate institutions, always under the co-supervision of a partner major.

The Master in Robotics and Intelligent Systems (MRSI) offers advanced, coherent and flexible training in Robotics and Intelligent Systems. More specifically, MRSI covers the main areas of Mobile and Industrial Robotics, involving Perception, Vision, Navigation, Planning, Control and Simulation and of Intelligent Systems, which includes techniques such as Information Representation and Extraction, Research and Deliberation, Machine Learning and Data Exploration.

Nowadays, it is almost impossible to come across an engineering field that is not related to information processing. An unprecedented level of importance that information has in modern societies is mainly due to the rapid development of communication technology. Exchanging data between heterogeneous players, from humans, through autonomous cars to robots, is the fundamental prerequisite for any kind of cooperative activities. This would not be possible without sophisticated data processing and communication systems. Clearly, the information goes hand in hand with communication technology, so these areas are merged into the master study program Information and Communication Technologies.

The main objective of this specialism in Control and Robotics is to master the modeling and control of complex robots evolving in dynamic environments by using proprioceptive and exteroceptive perception. The focus is on advanced robotics, but more generally the specialism deals with modern techniques in systems engineering for the modeling simulation, optimization, analysis, and control of a variety of robotics systems.

The Master of Science in Applied Nanotechnology is unique in the Netherlands. The most distinguishing feature is its focus on the development of innovative micro- and nanotechnology-based products and applications. The fusion of elements from biology, chemistry, electrical engineering and physics results in nanotechnological materials and devices with unprecedented properties. The programme only starts in September and is taught entirely in English.
