North China Electric Power University (NCEPU) is a state key university directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education of China. It has been officially listed in the national “211 Project”. As a major public university, NCEPU is characterized for its predominant disciplines of “Energy Resources & Electric power”, and committed to providing talents and technologies for the development of the Chinese electric power industry. To meet the nation’s needs for sustainable energy, NCEPU established the first Renewable Energy School (RES) under the supports of the National Energy Administration of China, Ministry of Education of China, and the renewable power industry in China in 2007. It offers an interdisciplinary degree program that is structured from an integration of various subjects, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, the hydroelectric, wind, and solar energy.
