The objective of this Study Cycle is to confer professional teaching qualifications in accordance with the reference number 4 the Attachment of the Decree Law 79/2014 (Primary School Teacher and Teacher of Portuguese, History and Geography of Portugal – 6 to 12 year old pupils).

The Master in Environmental Engineering (MEA) of the University of Aveiro (UA) aims to train technicians capable of predicting and characterizing environmental problems and dysfunctions and of proposing solutions to avoid and solve them, technically and financially viable. It is based on the UA's experience and competence in the area of Environmental Engineering, which enables a better integration of knowledge in a holistic approach for understanding the processes and operation of environmental systems, ensuring an inter and multidisciplinary training in diversified areas and in a European context, and allowing flexibility and alternation in employment.

The Master in Design of the University of Aveiro, now renewed (2nd cycle of training), aims to provide students with critical awareness and creative capacity, leading to a competent professional practice of Design.

The Master in Chinese Studies is offered by the University of Aveiro and the ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.

The study cycle aims to create a Masters of excellence in Speech therapy. The principal aim is to develop advanced competencies in the assessment and intervention of children and adults with speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders. The master has three paths:

The Master course in Applied Marine Biology (MAMB) at the University of Aveiro is taught by a team of internationally trained academics. The close interaction with the researchers of CESAM (Center for the Study of Marine and Environmental Sciences – an Associated Laboratory classified as Excellent in the last evaluation of the Foundation for Science and Technology http: //www.cesam .ua.pt), as well as access to ECOMARE (Laboratory for Innovation and Sustainability of Marine Biological Resources at the University of Aveiro), provide excellent multidisciplinary research opportunities in the field of Marine Sciences.

MGQT - Master in Total Quality Management results from partnerships between ESTGA-UA, business associations such as AIDA CCI - District Of Aveiro Chamber of Commerce and Industry, APCER - Portuguese Certification Association, INOVARIA - Innovation Network in Aveiro, LIQ - Industrial Quality Laboratory and ABIMOTA - National Association of the Industries of Two Wheels Hardware, Furniture and Related, as well as a group of internationally renowned companies.

This Master in Cybersecurity is aligned, on the one hand, with the training offer provided by the University of Aveiro in the field of informatics, on the other, with the educational project of the Institution and, finally, with the national and European strategies in terms of cybersecurity, having as main objectives:

Mechanical Engineering is the most comprehensive of all engineering fields, developing skills that encompass a wide variety of scientific areas. This master’s degree has an innovative configuration, in which the access to a wide variety of possibilities for personalized training orbits around a project core, as an integrator of knowledge of and competences in Mechanical Engineering. The curricular structure of the Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Universidade de Aveiro bets on a transversal integration of engineering skills and a clearly practical learning in flexible training paths. Students will find a degree that is close to society and to its needs, centered on building skills and ensuring a solid core foundation, and at the same time specialized according to the interests of each future Engineer.

Provide students with proficient knowledge and advanced skills in Chemical Engineering to ensure that future masters (Level II Engineers) will be qualified to pursue professional activity in companies and industries directly or indirectly related to Chemical Engineering, in public or private research and development (RD) institutions, or to pursue further training in Chemical Engineering, or in related areas, at the level of a 3rd cycle (PhD).

The Biomedical Materials and Devices Master (BMDM) Program constitutes a specialisation which can follow a wide range of 1st cycle degrees. Although a natural choice for those with degrees in Materials Engineering, it is also intelligible for graduates from other areas akin to either Materials or Biomedicine.

The Retail Management master results from a partnership between ESTGA-UA and a group of business organizations partners, from which Jerónimo Martins group (largest food distribution group in Portugal and Poland) stands out.

The Master in Data Science, a partnership between the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (DETI) and the Department of Mathematics (DMat), allows strengthening the knowledge and skills in data exploration and machine learning, with an emphasis on extracting actionable information from large-scale data. The Masters combines knowledge from the basic areas of Data Science, namely Mathematics and Informatics, providing both the theoretical foundations and the computational skills necessary for its application to different types of data and contexts.

The Masters' degree in Music given by the Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro offers four branches in Music Research - Performance (Vocal and opera; orchestra instruments: violin, viola, cello, doublebass, flute, oboe, clarinet, fagot, saxofone, french horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion; piano; organ; acordeon; guitar; mandolin; ancient and traditional cordophones: cavaquinho/ukulele, portuguese guitar); jazz vocals; jazz's instruments: piano, guitar, vibrafone, drums, doublebass, saxofone, trumpet, trombone; Composition, Musicology and Conducting (Choral.
