5 Political Science Masters Degree Programs in Mexico

General objective Introduce students to the study of Public Safety and its different approaches. Also, understand the the legal method as a set of intellectual and eventually material procedures ordered from according to a rational plan that allows the student to investigate and argue the legal discourse, justify syllogistically its proposals, as well as the origin, nature, and limits of legal knowledge. Specific objectives: - Familiarize the student with the issues of law enforcement and with the strategies that have been carried out in the matter. Likewise, it is intended that the student broadens his vision of the challenges involved in guaranteeing law enforcement in Mexico. - Analyze a more complete vision of the role that each political and social actor in Mexico has in relation to the administration of justice. - Examine the role played by the means of evidence in the administration of justice.

The Master in Political Science of the International Institute for Advanced Political Studies "Ignacio Manuel Altamirano", aims to train human resources with professional skills to do studies on political institutions, actors and political and social processes, so that they are able to analyze problems in these fields of political reality and propose alternative solutions from an applied, creative and ethical perspective. Such is the educational program that our Institute offers to those who aspire to become outstanding professionals for the quality of their analysis and practical proposals in the field of public life and democratic political processes.

Purpose of the Educational Program Train specialists in the field of political theory and government processes, public management, and public policies who are capable of analyzing problems in these disciplinary fields and who have skills to propose alternative solutions with a high degree of reliability to work in government institutions, organizations non-profit organizations, higher education institutions and in political parties or other organizations in the sector.

The program is recognized by CONACYT's National Quality Postgraduate Program with the category of a recently created program. This implies that the applicants, both national and foreign, who meet the requirements of the admission process, have a maintenance grant from CONACYT and the CIDE does not charge tuition. The master's degree lasts for four semesters. The call is BIENNIAL by the Office of Promotion and Admissions. The professors of the Division of Political Studies evaluate and select the applicants who enter the master's degree.

La Maestría en Ciencia Política de El Colegio de México tiene como objetivo preparar profesionales capaces de analizar y comprender las organizaciones y procesos políticos, así como formular políticas públicas que contribuyan a resolver problemas en los ámbitos nacional e internacional. Las líneas de generación y transmisión del conocimiento son: teoría política, relaciones internacionales, política comparada y políticas públicas. Las áreas de trabajo para los egresados comprenden el servicio público, los partidos políticos, el sector privado, el periodismo, organizaciones de la sociedad civil, diplomacia, docencia e investigación.
