The Master of Physiotherapy is a two-year, graduate-entry degree leading to eligibility for registration as a physiotherapist in Australia. The Master of Physiotherapy (MPhty endorsed) Program endorsed in one of the specialist areas (Neurorehabilitation, Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy or Sports Physiotherapy) aims to advance the student's clinical reasoning and patient management skills beyond that of the possible level practitioner and provide one of the prerequisites necessary to achieve specialisation. The one-semester research components that may comprise the design and implementation of a small research project, a case series, a data-based clinical review, a systematic review, or a critical review under the supervision of a member of staff, will ensure that the student is research enabled and ready to embrace evidence based practice in the performance of their career.

Applied Physiotherapy is a subject in a health care area focusing on diagnostics, functional therapy of movement system disorders. Physiotherapy also influences the functions of the other systems including the psychical one throughout the movement and other physiotherapeutic processes. The students of this program are graduates in accredited/recognized Bachelor's study programs of physiotherapy in the Czech Republic. The graduates from any university abroad (apart from Slovakia) are required to do the process of nostrification. The program offers a 2-year study program. The program is divided into 4 semesters and includes subjects that intensify and develop the knowledge and skills gained during Bachelor's study program. The students specialize in at least one specific method or concept in physiotherapy. The essential subjects include Special Kinesiology, Differential Diagnostics, Selected Chapters in Physiotherapeutical Methods, Applied PNF, Clinical Effectiveness in Physiotherapy, Special Chapters from Clinical Subjects, Management in Healthcare, Physiotherapy in Sport, Preventive Programs in Physiotherapy, Methodology of Science, Presentation of Results of Scientific Work. The important part of every year's study is a specialized internship at medical institutions, curricular internship, and Clinical Colloquium under expert supervision. When the student gains 120 ECTS credits he or she takes the Final State Exam including Master Thesis Defence, theoretical exams, and practical medical institution exam.

This cycle of studies aims to develop in physiotherapists a deepening of the evaluation and measurement competencies in Master in Physiotherapy, including objective measures and modern technological resources, developing critical clinical reasoning and practice informed by evidence and also to develop research competencies, allowing physiotherapists to develop the scientific area of physiotherapy.

While the Bachelor’s programme focuses on the roles of the clinician, the scientist, and the professional, the Master’s programme goes more into detail and concentrates on integration, internationalisation, practice, and scientific research. The Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy is specifically designed for students who are motivated to pursue advanced studies in the domain of rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The programme focuses on the scientific perspective and evidence-based practice in physiotherapy and comprises a balance between theoretical training and clinical practice (internships, seminars, Master’s thesis).

The Master in Exercise and Sports Physiotherapy is designed to provide students with the skills and resources necessary to become sports physiotherapists and prevent and treat injuries as well as achieve rapid recoveries in injured athletes, all while being part of a multidisciplinary team. As part of the sports physiotherapy masters, students will cover many areas including injury prevention, diagnosis, functional rehabilitation, and pathology and medicine.
