The Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Physical Education at the Catholic University of Brasilia (UCB) is completing 20 years in 2019. During that time, it trained more than 300 masters and 80 doctors, who are working at the various federal and state universities in the country. country, state secretaries, as well as in private educational institutions, gyms, sports clubs, clinics, and medical centers specialized in physical exercise. With renowned professors in the national and international scene, the Program focuses on Physical Activity, Health, and Human Performance, in four lines of research: Biological Aspects Related to Physical Activity and Health; Sociocultural and Pedagogical Aspects Related to Physical Activity and Health; Physical Exercise, Rehabilitation, and Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases; Human Performance.

The concentration area “School, Sport, Physical Activity and Health” includes methodological, pedagogical, biodynamic, and psychosocial studies, manifested in the practice of Physical Education and Sport in different areas of application, analyzing its effects from health indicators. , from the perspective of quality of life.

The Master Course of the Post-Graduation Program in Physical Activity Sciences, Approved on October 10, 2006 - DO - according to Opinion nº. 165/2006, has as its general objective: to train qualified personnel to carry out research and higher teaching activities and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Physical Activity Sciences. In this sense, it intends to promote the integration of areas of knowledge, academic disciplines, and technologies relevant to the foundation and development of Physical Activity Sciences, to promote reflection on issues that permeate the theory and practice in Physical Activity Sciences, through development teaching, research and extension activities,

The course aims to specialize physical education professionals to work with weight training and other practices present in fitness centers aimed at improving the fitness of different subjects, from athletes to groups that need special care. The course will use the Sports Complex of PUC Minas, which has its own Academy and Laboratories for pedagogical support to activities, thus strengthening its theoretical-practical and technical-scientific approach.
