Official inter-university master's degree, coordinated jointly by the universities of Valladolid and Salamanca. Its objective is to provide students with high academic and research standards, which complements the best performance of a professional career and qualify for research work and the completion of a doctoral thesis. It offers students specialized knowledge in four areas or pathways: History of Philosophy and Metaphysics, Moral and Political Philosophy, Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts, and Epistemology, with emphasis on the historical foundations of these disciplines and on a methodological background. Editorial Studies covers the theory and practice of fundamental philological work (interpretation of traditional conventions, text criticism and commentary). It is broadly concerned with the saving, documentation, constitution and communication of control texts in Humanities research. The objects of study are addressed in-depth, using examples from participating disciplines. In close cooperation with institutions and projects in archiving and publishing, appropriate requirements for archiving and editorial practice are communicated, viewed critically and implemented as part of practical work.
