The Master of Peace and Conflict Studies is an inter-disciplinary Program providing students with an advanced qualification in peace and conflict studies, development and peacebuilding. Drawing upon national and international expertise in the field, this Program will position graduates for a wide range of career options in the public and private sectors as academic researchers and as practitioners and policy makers in fields such as conflict analysis and resolution, peace-building, and post-conflict transformation.

The Master of Arts (MA) degree normally requires at least one year of full-time study and entails completion of a thesis. The thesis is a major piece of supervised research on a topic of current interest.

The Master of Arts in Peace and Social Transformation at Community of Christ Seminary aims to develop personal and moral integrity for students, which is essential in the public work of peace and justice. By pairing foundational theological and scriptural courses with formational, contextual, and practical academic studies, students can deepen their experience and understanding of peace, social change, and justice work. This degree focuses on the theologies and ministries of peace while exploring social change theories, social transformation methodologies, adaptive action models, conflict resolution, and restorative justice, all with the goal of empowering movement and transformation within communities, organizations, and churches.

Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research (PEACE) provides a multi- and interdisciplinary approach to peace and conflict research. The program was ranked as a Top 10 degree in conflict resolution and peacebuilding by the Peacekeeper in 2017.

The MA in Peace and Conflict Studies is an exciting international and interdisciplinary two-year Program focusing on violent conflict as well as its prevention and management. It is a unique Program that is jointly offered by the University of Kent and the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany and is taught in English.

Without peace it is difficult to build justice and well-being and vice versa, without justice and well-being it is difficult to maintain the peace.

The MA in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution is offered by the internationally recognised Department of Peace Studies and International Development, drawing on over 50 years of experience as a leading centre of peace research and education. The programme will develop your understanding of the causes and dynamics of conflict and violence in a range of settings.

This year our Master celebrates the 20th anniversary of its creation. Our history dates back to 1994 when, thanks to our founder Dr. Vicent Martínez Guzmán, the first conference of Philosophy for Peace was conducted in the Universitat Jaume I to which more than 100 people attended. Since then, our program has been growing and consolidating as one of the best in its subject in the Spanish territory, besides of having obtained an important recognition around the world, thanks to the more than a thousand students coming from more than a hundred countries that have gone through our program and to the more than 250 national and international teachers that have taught in our Master. From the program we would like to take this opportunity to greet and thank all the people who have made possible this achievement; thanks to their work in favor of the construction of peace cultures, our peaceful ideal has been spread around the world.

The “Intercultural Conflict Management” Master program was launched by the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences (ASH) in 2002, influenced by the notions of the Kosovo war in former Yugoslavia in 1998 and 1999. Under the impression of this war and it’s accompanied cruelties the ASH decided to install a Master program to prepare experts for work in conflict prevention, resolution and management.

The Master's program offers an in-depth understanding of the key issues informing the field of peace and conflict studies. It provides interdisciplinary insights into the nature and causes of conflicts, as well as efforts at building peace and restoring confidence in institutions in conflict-affected societies.
