The Master in Marine and Coastal Systems master programme (MaCS - SIMCO) integrates knowledge using an interdisciplinary approach. It focuses on the study of processes operating within the coastal and marine systems, subject to complex geological, physical, chemical, biological and social forcings.

The MSc in Marine Mammal Science prepares students for professional careers in the research and conservation of marine mammals. It is the only research-focused MSc degree in this popular subject worldwide and is taught by leading experts at the Sea Mammal Research Unit and the Scottish Oceans Institute.

This master's degree in Coastal Hazards - Risks, Climate Change Impacts and Adaption, coordinated by IHE Delft, aims to prepare students for professional careers that help societies face and adapt to coastal risks and also seeks to meet the worldwide need for qualified professionals in coastal engineering and management. 

The Master of Science (MSc) is a two-year degree which encompasses both coursework and research. The first year involves mainly coursework and preliminary research preparation. Students will have the opportunity to contribute to existing fields of research, or to begin to develop new areas.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) is a one-year Program which builds on an undergraduate science degree. The diploma encompasses both papers and a research topic, and can be taken full-time. It provides possible to the Master of Science (MSc) degree by thesis only.

The Master in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (MMASc) aims to train professionals able to integrate in their specific activities the multidisciplinary characteristics (chemical, physical, geological, biological and social) involved in marine and atmospheric processes.

The Faculty is composed of experts from the University of MilanoBicocca, the Maldives National University, as well as other non-Italian universities and research organizations. The teaching is based on a multidisciplinary approach integrating cutting-edge knowledge and research in this rapidly developing field, with the aim to address present and future environmental challenges.

The Master of Science Program in Marine Sciences offers courses and opportunities for research in four main areas: biological, chemical, physical, and geological oceanography. Each MS student receives formal training in at least three of these disciplines while concentrating in a specific research area. Thus, the program is structured to develop the capacity for productive and innovative research, founded on a solid background of broad scientific knowledge.
