It is estimated that nearly 40% of all business may disappear in the next 10 years, if these businesses do not transform and accommodate new digital technologies. There is now high demand in many industries for employees equipped with knowledge of digital transformation. After nearly 20 years of offering its globally top-ranked e-Business Management Program, GSIM’s new MA in Digital Management aims for nurturing future leaders who can lead a global business in a digital society by utilizing digital technologies and culture to achieve business growth and to gain competitive advantage. Instructors for the program are professors with cutting-edge research on digital technologies, invited industrial practitioners, and guest speakers worldwide. The case method is a principal pedagogical means in most classes, in addition to others like simulations and real-life global virtual team projects. Our graduates will gain hands-on knowledge of cutting-edge digital technologies (Big Data, blockchain, AI, cloud computing, IoT, cybersecurity, etc.). They will be equipped with knowledge of digital strategies, platforms, business models, digital entrepreneurship and innovation, FinTech, digital marketing/human resource/supply chain, and much more. Careers for graduates from the program include, but are not limited to managers who can take advantage of digital technologies, managers in charge of implementing digital transformations, IT specialists who consult about technology projects, and civil servants who build and manage digital environments in public organizations.

GSUM aims to create leaders, advanced professionals, and practical researchers (from governmental/public institutions, private companies, non-profit organizations, etc.) who are able to solve urban management problems through the concepts of ‘Innovation’ and ‘Sustainability’ from the viewpoint of economics, management, policy sciences, regional studies, and law/public administration study.

The graduate program of System Management is aimed to provide students various engineering techniques to analyze and optimize management, production, and information media systems. The program consists of the following three research fields: （1）Management system engineering, （2）Production system engineering, and （3）Information media engineering.

The graduate program of Economics, Management, and Information Science has three research branches, Economics, Management, and Information Science, to provide high-level research and education applying to the undergraduate program. At the same time, this program provides education along with the development of each branch and the needs of the local economy. The Graduate Program in Economics, Management & Information Science focuses on fostering vocational specialists with rich specialized knowledge and practical experience. Needless to say, we accept ambitious students who wish to progress Ph.D. programs at other graduate schools to become professional researchers.

The Management Program admits 33 students annually. The program aims to educate promising students who wish to prepare themselves for teaching and research careers in academia or for responsible positions in research organizations or business enterprises. The program offers the following four specializations.

The Graduate School of Economics and Management consists of a "Researcher Training Course," which prepares graduate students to be specialized researchers in the field of economics or management, and the "Economics and Management Course," designed to train top-notch professionals. The Economics and Management Course is in turn divided into a two-year "General Program," targeting students aspiring to become international business persons, researchers or civil servants, and the "Advanced Tax Practice Program," which is designed for students aspiring to become accounting specialists or tax accountants. In the Advanced Tax Practice Program, students get thorough guidance in writing theses concerning tax laws through seminars in small groups. In addition, depending on the needs of the candidates, the two-year "General Program" may be completed in four years in a "Long-Term Program", or in just one year in a "Program for Working Adults," which is aimed at people with work experience. The variety of programs and thorough guidance effectively support students in realizing their professional and academic dreams

The MSL is centred on developing personal and professional effectiveness, enabling practising and aspiring managers to enhance their knowledge and skills in management, leadership and strategy.
