In MA Intercultural Studies encounter cultural differences every day both in our private and professional lives. Such differences are related to a society or a language area, but also to professions, ethnicities, religions, social groups, generations, and/or organizations. As a student of Intercultural Studies, you will acquire insights into different theoretical approaches to interculturality in the transnational world and work with the interrelationships of local, national, regional, and transnational identities.

English is the language of globalisation. It is the mother tongue of around 350 million people, and an even larger number speak it as a second language. The MA in English opens career opportunities in important national and international sectors associated with the cultural and creative industries and in the field of teaching.

English Studies is a two-year full-time MA program that aims to train students to investigate and answer such questions by broadening their knowledge of the English-speaking world and its cultures as well as by developing their theoretical and methodological skills and communicative competences so as to be able to disseminate their knowledge to non-experts.

The MA in Linguistics at Aarhus University explores the various aspects of language through project-based research under expert supervision. Students in the programme learn to use qualitative, quantitative, and computational methods to examine language description and diversity, the role of language in communication and society, functionalist theories of language, language as a cognitive phenomenon, and experimental and computational approaches to the study of language.

MSc BLC gives you a scientifically based set of interdisciplinary, analytical, and communicative skills and qualify you for a career in globally oriented companies, institutions and organizations, private and public. This interdisciplinary approach allows for a broad perspective on business, taking into account how regionally embedded values, norms, practices and interests impact the ways in which organisations operate in and across multiple contexts in the global economy.
