The master’s degree in International and Security Politics focuses on key international security issues generated by armed conflict, terrorism, climate change, and transnational migration across the world. At the intersection of defense policy, economics, peacekeeping, and international relations, this training program provides a strong understanding of how public and private actors address these issues and try to solve them, as well as expertise for analyzing contemporary forms of conflicts and hostility, locally as well as globally.

The Defense and Security specialty of the "International Strategy Analyst" title immerses students in an in-depth analysis of major powers and their defense policies, as well as all state and non-state actors in the international community, in order to decode the strategies of international alliances and identify geopolitical fractures. Through a comparative and analytical approach, they will develop a global vision, essential for anticipating trends and addressing security and defense challenges.

This programme focuses on gathering the tools and knowledge to best apprehend and analyse issues in the international security field in the 21st century : changes in the international environment (remodelling of geopolitical systems, new forms of crises and conflicts, controversial military interventions, transnational terrorism, nuclear proliferation, cyberwarfare, etc.), conflict-ridden regions and the specific internal transformations in security and defence activities (specialisation, institutional transformation, "judicialisation", new technologies, etc.)
