The MFA in Interaction Design Programme deals with the relation between people and Information Technology with a particular focus on the interaction between product and user.

Responding to the development of Information and Communication Technologies in the last decades, the programme will provide knowledge and design experiences in all the application fields of digital technologies: interactive and connected products, responsive environments, tangible and multimedia interfaces, personal artifacts. The focus is on design for experience through the innovation of artifacts, spaces and services.

Service design simplifies this complexity and enables companies to see the world through the eyes of their customers, understand their needs and visualise all those moments when the company comes into contact with the user.

Interaction Design is taught in English and is a 100% online study program joint with the Cyprus University of Technology. We prepare graduates with marketable skills in design, technology, and theory as related to the domain of Interaction Design and Human-Computer Interaction.

The MA in Interaction Design is a one-year full-time master's taught in NCAD. The course teaches fundamental approaches, methods and tools related to the design of digital products, experiences, systems and services, focusing on users and the context of use. The MA is studio-based with students engaging in lectures, seminars, workshops, fieldwork and independent and group projects. The studio environment is an essential component, fostering collaborative and peer-to-peer learning. The programme focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of Interaction Design, covering topics ranging from human-computer interaction and psychology to product design and experience prototyping.
