As an International Centre of Excellence, the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics carries out pioneering research in Biomedicine and therefore provides MSc students with the knowledge and tools to complete a competitive Research Project. MSc Students have the opportunity to attend courses in innovative fields which include Brain and Behaviour, Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience, Neurosciences and Neurogenetics, Cytogenetics and Genomics, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Basis of Monogenic Diseases, Molecular Virology and Immunology and Molecular Basis of Complex Diseases.

With a focus on high-level education, the program emphasizes the development of scientific thinking, critical analysis, and the practical application of research methodologies. Since the inception of the computing paradigm, the prevalent metaphor for a computer has been that of a multi-purpose tool, as exemplified by the use of “command lines” and “desktops” at the interface between humans and computers. The unparalleled prevalence of computing-enabled devices in our everyday lives, and the widespread access to information over the Web, suggests a more apt metaphor for a modern computer, that of an assistant. Humans no longer use, but rather collaborate with their devices to solve a cognitive task, with each party learning and adapting to the capabilities of the other. Communication and decision-making happens at a level that is transparent to, and cognitively-compatible with, human abilities and limitations. One no longer speaks of human-computer interaction, but of human-computer symbiosis.

This is an applied program with an option to follow one of the two specializations (clinical or counseling) in the profession of Psychology. It leads to a Master of Science degree (MSc) that allows for professional licensure in the Republic of Cyprus. It is focused on preparing the candidates to be able to apply psychological assessment, diagnostic formulations, and psychotherapeutic interventions.

Our interdisciplinary Master’s programme in Public Health (MPH) offered by the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health (CII) has been designed upon the more than 10 years of CII official association with the Harvard School of Public Health. The MPH is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance Accreditation in Higher Education and its curriculum is validated by the European Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation. The CII has developed research teams and programs dealing with smoking, diabetes and obesity, air and water pollution and health, epidemiology of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Specialized laboratories equipped with human biomonitoring equipment are in full operation. Whether you are a medical doctor, an established public health professional, or new to the field of public health, the unique structure of our MPH programme allows for the acquisition of core practical skills in key areas of public health science and practice, as well as a specialization between one of two concentrations (Environmental Health; or Epidemiology & Biostatistics). The small number of students in class together with the continuous interaction with faculty allows the cultivation of critical thinking and synthesis skills and ensures a high-quality learning experience.

The MPH in Public Health at EUC prepares students to manage healthcare operations and to assess and improve quality standards to assure a high level of care.

The program of Pharmacy (MPharm, Integrated Master) at EUC provides students with the knowledge and skills in the full range of pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical care and communication, pharmaceutical law and bioethics, biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical technology, toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry, and anatomy/physiology.

Clinical psychology is a field that applies psychological research and techniques in “clinical” settings. According to one simple clinical psychology definition, it’s “the study of individuals, by observation or experimentation, with the intention of promoting change.” Their field is “clinical” because it involves observing and working directly with patients in clinics and related settings. However, the practitioners may also work as part of a team of other health or social workers. Clinical psychologists meet with individuals, families and other groups in places like counseling centers, schools and hospitals. They practice in community health clinics and veteran service centers.

Our two-year MSc (Clin) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery course enables dentists to train in the diagnosis and management of diseases, injuries and defects affecting the mouth, jaws, face and neck.

The MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at EUC is aimed at professionals working or wishing to work with children, adolescents and their families/guardians. This degree offers a deepening of knowledge in basic areas of child and adolescent mental health with multiple applications within the students’ field of experience and/or interest.

Student will start to study Medicine in Cyprus Health Social Sciences University, after completing 3 years in Cyprus, they will transfer to University of Gazi in Ankara and they will graduate from there.
