The Master of Geosciences offers a classical two-year training in French. Additionally, we offer a one-year training in English for graduate students. This one-year course called ‘Geoengineering ’ (~270 h lecture and 5-6 month internship) will be particularly appreciated by foreign students who wish to reinforce their background in different fields of Petroleum Engineering. This year is also open for regular students who started French classes during their first year in the Master "Of Geosciences". This Master benefits from a particularly rich environment in geosciences and energy. The Master is part of the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies for Energy and Environment (STEE). The STEE Faculty has been founded within the framework of the prestigious label I-SITE which granted the project Energy Environment Solutions (E2S). It also benefits from the immediate surroundings of Carnot ISIFOR (Sustainable Engineering of Georesources) and a national pole for Geosciences and Innovation (Avenia). In addition, Pau hosts dozens of Petroleum companies, including Total, Terega, Modis, etc... Pau has therefore one of the highest concentrations of petroleum engineers and scientists in France.

The UPPA is opening a 5-year integrated Master’s/Ph.D. program of excellence linked to the research fields of energy and the environment with research-intensive training in multiple fields. The "Master of Applied Social Sciences in Energy and Environmental Transitions ( ASSET )" is a track of the Master's degree "Science of sustainability". It is an interdisciplinary graduate training of excellence in 2 years of training in sustainability sciences from the perspective of social sciences. It deals with the problems of energy and environmental transitions by crossing the knowledge, skills, and experiences of research professors from different disciplinary families and by operating as much as possible in a collaborative configuration (where the knowledge acquired is then shared), and from project-based and problem-oriented teaching.

The Master of Science (MSc) CPCM "Chemistry and Physico-Chemistry of Materials" provides a complete education program in the field of materials, by addressing all aspects related to their synthesis/elaboration, their fine characterization, and their implementation for specific applications. In the title of this master's program, the term "Chemistry" refers to synthesis and elaboration aspects, while the term "Physico-Chemistry" refers to characterization science and understanding of mechanisms and phenomena taking place at different scales of the material (micro/nano or surface/bulk). The training delivered by Master CPCM allows you to find rapidly a job in the industry as a senior executive, in all sectors of activity using or designing materials, as soon as you have obtained the Master's degree. Alternatively, you can continue your training with a Ph.D. thesis (three years), which is an advantage in several fields of research and development.

The European and International Business Studies Master program is a full-time postgraduate program in two years designed for international students and graduates. This French State diploma, entirely taught in English is only designed for foreign students. It is a National Master’s degree recognized by the French Ministry of Higher Education and European Accreditation

The student of the Specialized Master® in Project Portfolio Management is the conductor of the company's project management. They must be able to manage a large-scale project and coordinate multi-project activity. They support the company in its organizational change towards "project process management" by integrating the company's strategy into project portfolio management.

Increasingly strong societal demand in the fields of the Environment, sustainable development, and health now call for a synergy of cutting-edge skills involving Chemical and Biological Sciences.

The Energy Performance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the site's energy performance (energy consumption and losses). They are responsible for improving the company's overall energy performance. To achieve this, they will work across departments with their colleagues. They will act as an energy advisor and will work on the various means of energy production to optimize them.

The program offers up-to-date knowledge in areas of applied mathematics related to modeling with partial differential equations.

The aim of the proposed graduate research program Environmental Analytical Chemistry and Microbiology (EACM) is to form experts with up-to-date knowledge of advanced analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, molecular biology, and environmental microbiology to elucidate the behavior and fate of contaminants from pollution sources to living organisms, to assess their impacts on ecosystem structure and functioning, and to implement solutions to maintain ecosystems health.

The GREEN Graduate Program - Mathematics, Modeling and Applications to Energy and Environment (M2A2E) research graduate program aims to form experts with up-to-date knowledge of advanced skills in Applied Mathematics, Statistical and Machine Learning Methods, and Scientific Computing to elaborate, analyze, and simulate mathematical models arising from issues and predicted impacts in energy and environment.

Strongly increasing societal demand in the fields of Environment, Sustainable Development and Health, implies a synergy of advanced skills in Chemistry and Biology Sciences. In order to be able to effectively respond to this demand and to implement innovative solutions providing efficient answers to these requests, it is essential to perfectly understand the interaction of contaminants with living organisms and particularly their structures, properties, reactivities/activities in natural ecosystems.

The GREEN Graduate Program - Sustainable Geoenergies (SAGE) graduate program, which builds on the well-established Geoenergies master’s program, offers extensive training in all the scientific disciplines involved in the sustainable use of the subsurface in the context of energy transition.

This master’s degree in Bio-Inspired Materials aims at offering an educational background connecting the laboratory environment and the living world while responding to ecological and sustainable transition challenges.
