6 Engineering Masters Degree Programs in Thailand

The Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering aims to produce a Master with in-depth knowledge of electrical and computer engineering. Students will be provided with the background needed and comprehensive skills training. Strong emphasis is put on communication skills, research methodology, and technical writing as well.

With increasingly complex business processes in manufacturing and service operations, a modern organization needs professionals with sound engineering and management skills. An engineering management degree is designed to bridge the gap between engineering and management and to enable a student to collaborate with people to get things done. The degree combines an industrial engineering education (Technical) with key elements of management education (Managerial).

The IP-HSM in partnership with the Center of Excellence on Hazardous Substance Management (HSM) of Thailand is the first program in Thailand that focuses on hazardous waste management. The program offers MSc and Ph.D. degrees to students with a science or engineering background. The program provides students the opportunities to study with renowned foreign professors, Thai faculty members, and a native English class instructor throughout their studies.

The Dual Master’s Degree Program in Engineering Management is a part-time, joint international program between Chula System Engineering (CUSE), Chulalongkorn University, and the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), University of Warwick of the U.K. As the first program of its kind in Thailand, we aim at producing engineers and scientists who want to excel in their managerial and entrepreneurial competencies through innovative integration of business management and engineering into real-world applications.

Today’s major challenges for water engineers and managers include securing water for people and for food production: protecting vital ecosystems: and dealing with variability and uncertainty of water in space and time. The Water Engineering and Management (WEM) field imparts education and training toward an understanding of the complexity of water use and water resources management problems. It offers a balanced curriculum, which covers both the engineering and management aspects of water resource development.

At present, most academic institutions and industries in the Asian region are only system integrators. Components are procured from more developed countries (e.g. computer numerically controlled machines, robots, and automated guided vehicles) and are integrated as a system (e.g. flexible manufacturing system). To support the growth of the region’s economy, expertise not only as system integrators but also as builders of components of advanced technologies must be developed. The growing number of electronic devices and the strong interactions between mechanical and electronic parts no longer permit separate investigations of these components.
