Design Engineering MSc by Research offers both an Applied Practical approach for New Product Development and Innovation, as well as Innovative Strategic pathways each informed by core research to inform design developments and decisions using Design Thinking tools, techniques, and methods.

TheMaster in Industrial Design Engineeringcomplements the knowledge acquired in any area of engineering with the aim of delving into the field of emerging technologies, scientific research and innovation.

Bachelor in engineering with knowledge in materials, mechanics, and modeling, but also others may be suited to the master's program in engineering design. Special interest in understanding mathematical and physical theories and descriptions of for instance different construction behaviors, design processes, materials behavior may be a benefit for maximizing the learning outcome in education.

The MSc Mechanical Engineering and Design is a unique and particularly contemporary course of study, that encompasses knowledge from all areas related to the Mechanical Engineer profession and includes modules that teach the latest industry developments and their application on real Engineering problems. Its aim is to equip students with the necessary technical skills and theoretical background for the development of Mechanical Engineering projects in the field of Construction or Energy. The MA/ MSc Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) programme is a unique double Master’s Programme that has been run jointly with Imperial College London for 40 years. The programme aims to create a new type of innovator, one who will be a global leader in the integration of design, engineering, science and enterprise, and distinctively positioned to tackle the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous challenges society and the planet face.

The interdisciplinary study programme for obtaining a professional master's degree in design engineering is based on scientific discovery, the latest technologies and materials creative application in design project solutions to meet user needs, taking into account functional, aesthetic, environmental safety, sustainability and production requirements.

This Master Course intends to provide the adequate competences required to product optimization and innovation, by following a rather integrating approach in what concerns people, industry, society and environment. It is therefore intended to ensure specific formation in what concerns development and conception of models and products capable of providing adequate answers to demands related to market flexibility, fastness and assertiveness. The Curriculum in Racing Car Design (RCD) is part of the Master’s Degree Course in Advanced Automotive Engineering (AAE) and it provides a high level of training on the dynamics of the vehicle and on the most innovative materials related to the design of racing cars.

The Master in Transportation and Car Design requires creative and technical skills, in order to combine engineering, ergonomics and marketing to develop innovative ideas for transportation. The program covers the entire design process, with study projects in collaboration with leading automotive companies, involving professional designers from top car brands.

This study programme is aimed to promote the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, research, and development and to lead students to apply this knowledge and develop their creative facilities. The graduates will have basic knowledge in the field of machine engineering and specific knowledge of machines and equipment design.
