At the University of Pécs, Faculty of Humanities you may study MA in Andragogy/Adult Education as a Single Honours degree. Master the Art and Science of Education.

The Instructor of English as a Foreign Language programme is a two-semester, practice-focused postgraduate course that equips students to teach English to non-native speakers, preparing them for careers in schools, language institutes, and other international educational settings.

The purpose of the social pedagogy master's program is to train professionals with high-level professional knowledge who are able to responsibly carry out research, expert, educational, decision-making, management, planning and organizational tasks in social pedagogy arenas independently or in groups.

The full-time degree program is either 2 or 4 semesters (60 or 120 credits), depending on your previous qualifications.

The goal of this program is to train perfect professionals in the theoretical foundations and basic methods of educational sciences. Students will obtain an integrated knowledge of educational sciences and pedagogical practice, and neighboring disciplines (philosophy, psychology, sociology, economy, and law).

The program focuses on logic and its applications in the philosophy of science, particularly in the foundations of mathematics, physics, linguistics, and the social sciences. Beyond a few core courses and a joint four-semester seminar series providing a common background to all students, we offer the following four thematic groups of courses: Logic and the Philosophy of Mathematics, Foundations of Physics, Logic in Linguistics, and Models in the Social Sciences – the student has to choose 7 courses offered in these modules.

The programme aims to train professionals who give help using their theoretical knowledge about the functioning and the dysfunctions of the society, about interpersonal relationships, deviances, groups of special needs, about the education, development and professional assistance in a public educational, societal, child welfare, and child protection setting; who improve the circumstances of disadvantaged children, youth and their families.

The objective of the training is to prepare students for educational research and practical work in the public and higher education and in organizations; to design and evaluate learning programmes in schools; to participate in educational research and development, and to communicate the Hungarian achievements in educational science on national and international platforms. In addition, the programme prepares students to pursue doctoral studies in Educational Science.
