This degree programme Economics and Public Policy (LMEPP) is a master-level program in the economics and econometrics of public policy.

The Economics Department offers three terminal master’s programs, MS in Quantitative Economics, MA in Global Development Economics, and MS in Economic Policy & Practice, that equip its graduates with the advanced knowledge and quantitative skills required for a successful career in consulting, politics, international relations, and governance.

Our MSc Business Economics program is an integrated course applying economics to the business environment. Designed in consultation with leaders from the business community and public sector organizations, this unique course equips you with the key skills for career development in the ever-changing business world.

These are an intensive two-year programs providing advanced training in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, together with applications to several specific fields. Master in Economics - Research Focus - ECON2MA (Finalité approfondie) offers a deep understanding of what economics is today, and - in close connection with internationally well-known research centers - prepares our students to carry out high-level research in economics.

The Program offers research training equivalent to training in the first two years of PhD Programs at top US economics faculties. This implies a first year of rigorous and common training in core subjects of economics, econometrics, and finance at a high level that can only be managed by a selected group of students. In the second year, students specialise in their choice from among the institute’s many fields of research through field coursework and research master thesis research.

The Master of Economics program is offered online via distance learning. After evaluating both academic record and life experience, AIU staff working in conjunction with Faculty and Academic Advisors will assist students in setting up a custom-made program, designed on an individual basis. This flexibility to meet student needs is seldom found in other distance learning programs.
