The purpose of the MCom in Local Economic Development is to develop an advanced level of knowledge, skills, and applied competence in the field of Local Economic Development (LED).

The DEIN-Circular Master provides advanced, specialized and multidisciplinary training in the field of sustainable economic development and innovation, with two alternative profiles, one oriented towards R&D and innovation management and policies and the other to the Circular Economy and sustainable development.

The purpose of the MCom in Development Economics is to develop the applied competence of the student on an advanced level in the mastering, analysis, interpretation, and understanding of developmental economic principles and methods.

The MEDEG programme is offered by a consortium of the University of Groningen (The Netherlands), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain) and Lund University (Sweden). You study the first year either in Groningen or Madrid. In the second year, all students move to Sweden to specialise in development and growth issues at Lund University School of Economics and Management. The programme provides you with the theoretical and quantitative tools needed to grasp the main debates in economics and other social sciences, as well as the specialised understanding of context, institutions, and historical legacies in developing economies required to deal with the full complexity of development issues.

The Economics & Policy MSc offers strong disciplinary and methods training on Economics with an eye to applying key methodological tools in the analysis of economic policy making. It aspires to train professional economists who will embark on careers in both private and government sectors as well as international organisations that are responsible for designing and implementing economic policy.

With a double degree from the University of Göttingen (Germany), you will obtain specialised knowledge of international markets and the global interconnections between national economies. What are the consequences of globalisation for the socioeconomic and institutional differences between countries and what roles do multinational companies play in this respect? You will learn to apply the tools of modern economic analysis to issues of development policy and to communicate effectively with researchers, policymakers and practitioners on development issues.

The International Master's Programme in Economics (120 credits) provides you with deeper knowledge of economic theory and its application in the real world, providing skills that can benefit society in fields such as sustainable development or competition and regulation. You have the option to focus on an area of your choice and even to spend a semester studying at a different university or in another country.

The programme is dedicated to educating such highly-skilled professionals in engineering design and development for circular economies who are familiar with all the universal and more specific traits of circular systems. By the end of your studies, you will be able to pinpoint circular links between water and waste management and the use of renewable energy, and become familiar with the legal environment and regulations pertaining to the protection of intellectual property. With the high level of practical and theoretical knowledge obtained, you will be capable of conducting and managing complex RD tasks.

This Advanced Master’s programme offers methodological and practical insights into development evaluation, its relevance and challenges.

The MSc in International Business Development aims to develop the knowledge and expertise necessary to understand international business issues. It offers a wide range of skills and techniques specific to the field of international management and business practices, so that you learn to analyse the situations and challenges that companies may face in an international context. They will be able to work in multicultural contexts and make strategic decisions in all areas of a business.

The Master of Arts in Economics, Development and Innovation (MEDI) is designed to combine rigorous theoretical and empirical training with a truly interdisciplinary approach that bridges political economy, mathematics and statistics, business economics, and law.
