MA Fine Art (Ceramics) at Bath Spa is designed to fully develop your creative potential as a ceramicist within a Fine Art context. Contemporary Art MA is a two-year international program for emerging contemporary artists of different backgrounds intended to guide them during the development of their artistic position. The main focus is on the individual artistic practice, supported by collaborative moments in the curriculum as well as masterclasses and courses introducing a range of artistic methods and platforms for research and critical reflection.

The Master in Sacred Art aims at offering theoretical and practical training in the field of sacred and religious art. This sector, deeply rooted in Italian culture and tradition constitutes a significant percentage of the Italian artistic heritage. The three specializations to choose from for the Master are Painting, Sculpture, and Goldsmithing.

The study of sculpture is ever-expanding and includes object-making, public art and social practices, site and space, performance, sound, film and video. Rather than only considering the specific manifestations of sculpture, we prefer to think of it as a methodology from which to progress the production of art.

The Master’s Degree in Creative Illustration will analyse the numerous fields, uses and applications of illustration demanded by the market, while developing both technical and conceptual issues as students seek their own voice and an understanding of illustration as a form of artistic expression. This programme will delve into the functions of illustration while examining its principal fields and applications in depth, along with illustrators and the role of their work as an information provider, trend generator, critic, historian and graphic chronicler.

The MFA provides an immersive education in the development of professional practice as an artist. As an MFA graduate, you will produce a final exhibition, the quality of which will demonstrate that you have developed the knowledge and skills necessary to survive and thrive as a practising artist.

The University of Pécs, Faculty of Music and Visual Art’s MA in Ceramic Designdepartment has a close partnership and is located at the same site as the world-famous Zsolnay Porcelain Factory in Pécs. Various types of forming methods from handcrafting to design and spacious studio places together with academic level personal tutoring provide the students the opportunity of finding their own artistic way.

The Jewellery & Metal programme seeks to unpick the relationship between people and things, pushing beyond the subject-object binary JaM students explore the multiple ways we are entrapped and enthralled by the complex entanglement of the material and immaterial worlds. Through emergent acts of making, JaM believes we can shed new light on these complex and essential relationships, revealing great depths in our understanding of, and being in, the world.
