5 Communication Masters Degree Programs in Japan

Upon successful completion of the study program students receive an international private Master in Communication Studies degree awarded by the school's main campus in Zurich, Switzerland, based on the recommendation of the faculty of the local campuses where credits were earned, and upon the recommendation of the school's Academic Council.

Through the two areas of basic psychological research and research on media and information communication and communication involving humans, we aim to develop human resources with advanced knowledge and skills in psychological and communication science. As a common purpose of the entire field, it is effective to acquire a methodology that can objectively approach various problems of human society and to have the ability to perform scientific verification and communication based on easy-to-understand explanations and empirical data. The aim is to develop the ability to give presentations and convince them to carry out the required projects. In the field of psycho science, the training of aspiring researchers who have acquired a high level of understanding and research methods on human behavior and psychology, and in the field of communication science, various things related to "people, media, and society" that are becoming more diverse. We analyze problems scientifically and train human resources who can play an active role in a wide range of fields in the information media society that connects people to people and people to society.

The goal of the School of Foreign Studies is to provide students with an advanced level of understanding and expertise in one of four research areas and to give them a solid framework for a future career in their chosen field. The school offers a two-year interdisciplinary master's program in foreign studies that can be tailor-made to meet students' career goals. Classes usually take place in the evening for students who work during the day; however, scheduling is flexible and can be changed to accommodate the needs of individual students. Registered foreign students are eligible for student visas.

The Graduate School of Information and Communications was established at Bunkyo University Shonan campus in April, 2005, along with the Graduate School of International Studies. These are the first two graduate schools at the Shonan Campus. The Graduate School of Information and Communications is aimed toward fostering human resources with professional expertise who have 1) knowledge about information systems, 2) the ability to use such knowledge in practical areas and 3) the ability to build an information system for customer's needs.
