Students in the LM-15 degree (Philology, Literature and History of Antiquity) of Roma Tre University have the opportunity to take part in the European Master in Classical Cultures (EMCC), a master's programme set up by a consortium of European universities.

This master's degree MA in Classical Studies provides you with the opportunity to discover what it means to do Classical Studies in the twenty-first century. You’ll investigate a range of ancient and contemporary ideas about the Greek and Roman worlds through encounters with literary texts, languages, classical mythology, historical sources and archaeological remains, and their ongoing significance for later periods, places, cultures and creative practices.

The Master of Arts (Thesis) (MA (Thesis))

The MA in Classical Art and Archaeology course offers you the opportunity to study Greek and Roman art and archaeology at one of the largest Classics departments in the UK. The course is intercollegiate with options taught at King’s, UCL and Royal Holloway and you can take advantage of our close links to the Institute of Classical Studies, one of the UK’s best Classical libraries.

The Master’s Degree in Classical Archaeology aims to provide thorough training in the field of Classical Archaeology. Through a didactic methodology combining traditional (archaeological, linguistic-philological, artistic) and innovative resources (applying the most advanced methods to the knowledge of the material culture), it intends to train second-level graduates in archaeological and historical skills.

The Master of Arts (Coursework) program is designed to give students the skills sought-after by employers around the globe, with a balance of specific subject knowledge plus broad-based transferable skills – such as oral and written communication, and analytical skills.

This University Master's Degree has been the first Official Master's Degree offered in Spain in the field of classical antiquity from a linguistic and literary perspective. It has been organised and taught since the 2006 by the Departments of Classical and Indo-European Philology of the University of Salamanca and Classical Philology of the University of Valladolid.

The MLitt in Classics is an intensive taught program, designed primarily as preparation for further research. The course allows you to specialize in a wide range of areas, including Greek or Latin literature, ancient history, classical archaeology, reception studies, and ancient philosophy.

The MA in Classics & Ancient Civilizations: Classics offers a broad approach to Antiquity through the integration of classical languages and ancient cultural history. We have strong expertise in Hellenistic literature, Greek linguistics, Greek religion, Latin poetry of the early Empire, and Literature in its spatial and socio-cultural context. The Classics track is a highly flexible interdisciplinary one-year Program, offering a variety of research-led courses on Greek and Latin literature, language and culture.

The Classics and Ancient Civilizations (Research) master's at Leiden University covers the entire range of present-day research on the civilisations of Greece and Rome, Egypt and the Ancient Near East.

Attending the Master’s Degree Course in Classics proposed by the University of Siena means studying the ancient world through a multidisciplinary approach, capable of making the student grasp the determinant values of the ancient cultural dimension, with its common traits and no less important differences compared to the modern one. Students will acquire advanced disciplinary and methodological skills not only in the two classical languages, in classical philology and in ancient history, but also in the anthropology of the ancient world, a discipline linked to the “interdepartmental center of anthropology and the ancient world”. Among the other subjects included in the curriculum, there are disciplines that complete the path of the classicist future: papyrology, Greek and Latin paleography, Byzantine civilization, medieval Latin and humanistic literature, the history of ancient philosophy, and classical archeology.
