The subject of "Biomedical Engineering" integrates theories and methods of engineering, biology, and medicine. It studies the state and changes of the human system at all levels, and provides technical support for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. The “Biomedical Engineering” major of Dalian University of Technology was established in 2003 and was formed on the basis of the interdisciplinary integration of information and communication engineering, microelectronics, optoelectronics, materials science, mechatronics engineering, biochemistry, and computational mechanics.
