6 Chemical Engineering Masters Degree Programs in France

The Master of Engineering program offers targeted, industry-focused training in Formulation Chemistry, Leather Technology, Plastic Materials, and Textile Materials. It features a practical, scientific approach and is taught in English.

Today the chemical industry must adapt to cope with the increasing scarcity of resources, the new regulations, and the social, ecological, and political pressure. By combining the different disciplines of Green chemistry, Catalysis, (Bio)Processes, and Formulation, this master aims to provide the essential tools to develop clean and safe processes involved in the newly emerging fields of agribusiness.

The aim of the one-year Master’s degree in Biorefinery and Bio-based Materials (Master 2) is to train professionals specialising in the problems of biomass valorisation, in particular through the development and improvement of processes allowing its transformation into biomaterials, chemical products or energy sources.

The international master’s program focuses on Industrial Biotechnology and Processes for Bioeconomy and encompasses integrated learning in life sciences, chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, sustainability, environmental regulations and economics, and bioethical issues. The attractiveness of this educational program lies in producing graduate students with cross-disciplinary skills and expertise suitable for international careers in the emerging field of a sustainable bio-based economy. This program is provided by INSA Toulouse and Toulouse INP.

ll courses are taught in English, so proficiency in English is required. Two of the Partners are engineering Universities (PL and IT), which is important for the program goals towards excellence in nano-engineering innovation. The third partner (FR) has a strong chemical nano-science profile which will allows us to teach our students the chemical fundamentals during the first semester in Marseille. This specialty considers health technologies from the system point of view and based on multi-scales and multi-physical problems resolution approaches. The future health devices will link miniature electronic components with mechanical elements of the micro-, or even nano-scale, and with biological elements. This multidisciplinary, multi-scale, and multi-physical approach, at odds with the health technological tools of today, is the core of this specialization course.
