Where to effectively study this subject if not in Azerbaijan? By the beginning of the 20th century, the world’s half of the then discovered oil reserves were in our country! Currently, two-thirds of Azerbaijan is rich in natural gas and oil, while, by the end of 2020, the volume of oil shipped via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (1,768 kilometers in length) managed to reach 3.5 billion barrels since 2006. Music Science includes the history, theoretical and other areas of music. The development of music science in Azerbaijan can be attributed to two major periods: XIII-XV and XIX-XX centuries, XIII-XV and XIX-XX centuries have an important place in the development of music-theoretical subjects of Azerbaijan.

The chair of Eastern languages and literature was established in 2003. Currently, it accepts bachelor students in the direction of two specialities Translation (Arabic-Azerbaijan languages) and translation (Persian-Azerbaijan languages).
