The Master in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (MMASc) aims to train professionals able to integrate in their specific activities the multidisciplinary characteristics (chemical, physical, geological, biological and social) involved in marine and atmospheric processes.

The Master's Programme in Atmospheric Sciences (ATM-MP) educates all meteorologists in Finland about weather forecasting, meteorological research and aviation safety. We also educate hydrospheric geophysicists to work in the fields of cryology, hydrology and oceanography, and chemists and aerosol physicists to work in companies.

The Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences Program studies the physical, chemical, and biological processes that affect the composition and dynamics of the atmosphere. Research is directly linked to an undergraduate and graduate program that provides a fundamental understanding of the atmosphere, and opportunities for applied research, theoretical research, and technical training to prepare students for careers in meteorology, atmospheric science, remote sensing and environmental technology and science.

The Master's program in Atmospheric and Near Space Sciences offers a modern, complex training for understanding the processes taking place in the Earth’s lower and upper atmosphere-ionosphere under different helio-geophysical conditions, for their modeling and forecasting. students will learn theoretical and observational methods of atmospheric research, data processing, and numerical modeling.

MSc Applied Meteorology and Climatology allows you to develop the knowledge of processes which are key to understanding our interaction with the natural environment. This course trains you to understand, model, and predict atmospheric processes, and manage atmospheric data for various sectors.

The Master's degree in Ocean, Atmosphere, and Climate Sciences (SOAC) offered in French by the University of Toulouse III Paul Sabatier aims to train specialists in meteorology, oceanography, and climate and environmental sciences. The program offers theoretical and practical teachings utilizing research and environmental monitoring facilities (hydraulic installations, airborne measurements, physical/biogeochemistry measurements, modeling, data analysis, etc.). Students enrolled in the SOAC master's program are eligible to join the Toulouse Graduate School of Earth and Space Science (TESS). The Graduate School offers an enhanced, multidisciplinary study program focusing on the monitoring and management of global change. Selected students receive financial support for their mobility to Toulouse and international mobility during their studies. This advanced program is offered in English.

The Atmospheric Science study program is a study of physics with a special focus on the atmosphere. Our program focuses on research-oriented learning and offers individual specializations. Atmospheric Science is a degree program with fascinating topics: climate, environment, and weather or computer simulations, satellites, physical theory.

Our MSc program lets you customize your studies and apply your knowledge in mathematics, physics, and chemistry to understand the atmosphere and the oceans. Through this interdisciplinary program, you will get a broad comprehension of how physical and chemical processes influence the Earth's climate and how we can explain the relationship between human activity and climate change.

The master's degree in Meteorology and Climate Sciences is mainly aimed at students with special interest in understanding the atmosphere and climate, with particular sensitivity to the challenges involved in improving the representation of observations, the modelling of physical processes that occur in the atmosphere, and the understanding of climate change and its projection according to different socioeconomic situations.

The Master of Professional Science (MPS) is an accelerated, graduate degree intended for students who want to generate innovative solutions to the marine, coastal, and climate-related issues (take same courses as PhD and Master of Science / MS students, but instead of research with a faculty member, students do research and projects in the field). Students enrolled in this program are exposed to a unique, multidisciplinary curriculum, including science theory, field and laboratory training, legal and regulatory knowledge, communication and media training, and the development of project management skills, designed to prepare them to address environmental challenges as future global leaders. The Master of Science program in Environmental Meteorology and Climate Physics is a double degree jointly offered by the University of Trento and the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Upon fulfilment of all the requirements, graduates will obtain two distinct degrees, one from each university. The program courses cover a variety of topics related to atmospheric and climate processes and their connections with environmental systems.

The progress of all master's candidates is monitored biannually by the supervisor and the postgraduate coordinator. A candidate's study may be terminated if the progress is unsatisfactory or if the candidate is unable to finish his/her studies during the prescribed period.

The goal of this program is to extend the knowledge of BSc level students, and to learn about different meteorological phenomena, their driving forces, and to gain knowledge on the state-of-the-art methodology that is used in the practice and also about climate change and its environmental consequences. Students have to learn about the multidisciplinary nature of meteorology and the possible connections with different other scientific fields and sectors.

This Master’s degree programme consists solely of a 12-month research project. With several years as a senior meteorologist, you will already have the skills, knowledge and expertise to undertake this stand-alone independent, workplace-based project.
