This Master´s Degree constitutes an innovative proposal aimed at deepening research methods in literary and philological studies, with special emphasis on the interdisciplinary relations of these studies with other arts (cinema, plastic arts, music and performing arts) and with other sciences and disciplines (anthropology, rhetoric, ecdotics or palaeography). The fundamental contents belong to the areas of Spanish Literature and Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, with an educational offer that includes other subjects that may also be of interest to students of Cinema, Art, History, Anthropology or Music.

The aim of the Master in Art Management programme is to train highly qualified specialists in art management capable of devising management strategies for art organisations, identifying and creatively solving management and marketing problems of art organisations, projects and initiatives, and carrying out collaborative art and business projects.

The MRes in Anthropology, Art, and Perception provide training for postgraduate research into the anthropology of human creativity, art, material culture, and visual expression. It takes perception as its starting point and draws on themes extending across the subject boundaries between art and anthropology.

The Master in History of Art and Museum Studies degree is awarded from Sorbonne University in Paris and delivered by world-class academics at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. The programme offers diverse approaches to the theory and history of museums, their missions and functions.

The Art History MA degree is designed to give students an advanced understanding of western art history. The program offers specializations in ancient art, medieval art, renaissance art, baroque art, 18th and 19th-century art, and pre-war modern art. The art historical curriculum is paired with six credits of fine art studio classes, which allow our students to become familiar with traditional methods of fine art production including painting, printmaking, and sculpture. This marriage of art history and fine art studies offers a perspective through which art and its historical trajectory can be uniquely evaluated and appreciated. Students will complete their degree by writing an M.A. thesis, with the support and advisement of an Art History faculty member. The thesis will be written in the student's chosen area of art historical specialization demonstrating independent scholarly research and highlighting their joint understanding of art and its creative process.

The Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Cultural Heritage: History, Art and Territory provides training in researching, managing and promoting cultural and natural heritage. This master’s degree will equip you with expertise in analysing, managing, and promoting cultural and natural heritage from a multidisciplinary perspective.

This degree is aimed at holders of pre-EHEA undergraduate degrees in Art History or related fields who want to gain a deeper understanding of the research mechanisms needed to prepare a doctoral thesis or to apply their knowledge to art distribution and the art market.

The MA in Classical Art and Archaeology course offers you the opportunity to study Greek and Roman art and archaeology at one of the largest Classics departments in the UK. The course is intercollegiate with options taught at King’s, UCL and Royal Holloway and you can take advantage of our close links to the Institute of Classical Studies, one of the UK’s best Classical libraries.

The MA in Art Law and Arts Management Program is being offered by the School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Economics of the University Center of International Programs of Studies of the International Hellenic University. The program aims at exploring and highlighting the functional interdependence between art law and arts management. Particular emphasis will be placed upon the legal, financial, and political considerations and the corresponding regulatory approaches implemented in Europe and elsewhere concerning the creation of digital works of art, the art trade, the operation of the markets concerned, the function of intellectual property law at the EU and international level, the protection of cultural heritage and protection against unlawfully acquired works of art.

The MFA Fine Art programme is aimed at artists and recent graduates who want to advance their art practices, engage with the relationships between contemporary art and theory and consider what art might be in relation to today’s social, cultural and political situations.

The MA in History and Theory of Art and Architecture (MSTAA) includes the study of the history of both architecture and art. It is a complete Master which aims at counteracting the growing marginalisation of architecture in art history studies. At the same time, the study of the history of art and architecture in different eras (medieval, modern and contemporary) is complemented by in-depth studies on the theory and criticism of architecture, artistic literature, the history and practice of restoration (with moments of practice in the field), museology and digital humanities with an eye towards other artistic and cultural expressions like photography, cinema, theatre, and literature. Practical workshops and internships in affiliated institutions complete the Master's training offer.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, graduates with an emphasis on developing business and communication skills can find jobs in design companies, cultural institutions, the art market, exhibition spaces, or even the media. The MLitt in Museum and Heritage Studies prepares students for employment in museums with broad training in all types of museums, galleries, and other heritage facilities. The MLitt in Museum and Heritage Studies is a taught postgraduate programme run by the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Studies, in association with the School of Art History and the Museums of the University of St Andrews.

The MLitt in Art History offers a diverse range of subject areas, from medieval art and architecture to contemporary performance art. Modules address major themes and concepts that connect different periods of art history. The MLitt in Art History is designed to: develop and enhance core research and writing skills, introduce and deepen knowledge of the theoretical and methodological foundations of art history, and enable students to explore current critical debates, art media, and contextual questions.

The MA in Art Education supports a new generation of art teachers who value the unique processes and knowledge that come with a robust studio practice and the subsequent integration of those skills into the classroom. Aspiring and seasoned art educators hone their commitment to the studio and classroom and strengthen their research and contribution to the field of art education.

The MAVA has been designed to ensure that it supports students in developing the required level of competence to exit with research in specialized areas of visual art a master’s qualification. Students conduct practice, photography, video and new media art, environmental art and related theories, art history, theory and criticism, art education, art therapy, and socially engaged art as well as collaborative art practice. Students are expected to investigate complex analytical and practical skills through the writing of a dissertation and/or professional practice through having or curating an exhibition, or engaging in community-based research to advance knowledge appropriate to the research mode.
